Lynch Mob is an American Hard Rock band featuring former Dokken guitarist George Lynch, who has been the band's only permanent member.Lynch Mob was formed in 1989, from the remains of Lynch's former band, Dokken. The band original line-up also features Dokken's drummer, Mick Brown. The first Lynch Mob album was released in 1990, titled Wicked Sensation, and it is highly regarded as the group's best work.Many feel that songs such as the title track, "River of Love," "She's Evil But She's Mine," and "For a Million Years" would have done very well in the 80's hair metal scene. However, with the waning popularity of "hair metal," the album didn't make much of an impact but reached gold status in the United States. Vocalist Oni Logan was fired shortly after the tour, as his life style had negatively impacted his ability to perform. But accordingly to a Rockshowmagazine interview with former bassist Anthony Esposito he explained that since Logan wasn't a great performer live Lynch decided to go with a different singer on their follow up, self-titled album.The next album Lynch Mob (released in 1992), which fared even worse upon its release due to the explosion of grunge. The album sported many great rock anthems such as "Tangled in the Web" and a cover of Queen's Tie Your Mother Down. Despite attempts to re-unite with Oni Logan, the album features the vocals of new vocalist Robert Mason.Lynch Mob disbanded after the tour for the album and in 1995, Lynch and drummer Mick Brown reunited with Dokken.

Lynch Mob "Sun Red Sun" is the bands 11th release and was written and recorded by the same line up as the "Sound Mountain Sessions" EP (Lynch/Logan/Crane/Coogan). "Sun Red Sun" once again highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan & George Lynch and showcases their ever evolving songwriting abilities. Mixed & mastered by Chris “The Wizard” Collier” (Lynch Mob/Lita Ford/KXM), “Sun Red Sun” offers up straight forward rockers like "Believers of the Day" and "Play The Game", as well as more groove-oriented cuts like "Erotika" and "Subliminal Dream". The CD also features a dynamic George Lynch guitar solo track called “Black Waters” as well as an acoustic ballad called "Sun Red Sun", which is a tribute to the late great Badlands singer Ray Gillen. The release also features a cover of Bad Company’s "Burnin’ Sky" and includes four re-mastered bonus tracks from the original Sound Mountain Sessions EP: "Slow Drag", "World of Chance", "City of Freedom" and "Sucka"! Official release date is Tuesday December 9th, 2014.

West coast rock veterans Lynch Mob will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their seminal album Wicked Sensation with a special limited print/deluxe anniversary edition of the album. Wicked Sensation Reimagined features re-worked and re-recorded versions of their classic songs and is scheduled for release via Rat Pak Records on August 28, 2020 (also available in Japan via Marquee/Avalon). The twelve-track album, originally released in October 1990, is considered by many to be sacred and perfect the way it is. The idea of rerecording it was not something Oni Logan or George Lynch took lightly.“The term ‘re-record’ makes me cringe, this is not that,” explains Lynch. “We re-invented the wheel on this record. It’s really a different animal than the original! Fans won’t be disappointed!” Logan adds: “30 years later here we are celebrating the first song I penned and wrote for the band Lynch Mob, ‘Wicked Sensation’. This one is for the fans that have been there from the beginning, My recommendation is to listen to it loud!!”The new cover of Wicked Sensation Reimagined was hand drawn by mid-west comic artist Andrew Owens as a tribute to the original cover art. Exclusive the Rock Candy remastered treatment on LYNCH MOB‘s second, self-titled album “Lynch Mob“, including bonus tracks. Curiously, the two bonus tracks aren’t listed in the CD back cover. Both are the original Japanese edition bonuses.Lynch Mob’s debut album Wicked Sensation certainly turned a few heads. All was shaping up well for album #2 but there were changes afoot. Vocalist Oni Logan had stepped away from the project leaving the spot open for another fine blues-based howler. Casting around for a suitable replacement, the band identified an excellent, but relatively unknown, replacement by the name of Robert Mason.This time around the band opted to dispense with the services of their previous producer and turn to Keith Olsen instead. Keith’s track record was stellar; having produced massive hit records for Whitesnake and the Scorpions among many others.It also paved the way for a slight shift in direction from their core blues rock style to a far more malleable and melodic hard rock sound, something that optimized Mason’s voice perfectly.Emboldened by an impressive collection of solid tracks – in fact, songwriting is better than on debut LP – the record sat competitively among their peer groups, but times were changing. Songs such as ‘Jungle Of Love’, ‘No Good’ and especially ‘Tangled In The Web’ hit home with maximum impact and the potential to become anthems if only the marketplace hadn’t shifted so dramatically.There’s a hot cover of Queen / Brian May classic ‘Tie Your Mother Down’, while if you look for an AORish, ’80s styled melodic rocker then ‘Heaven Is Waiting’ is a winner. Of course, once again, George Lynch’s guitar playing was exceptional and impressive.If you like anything Dokken / George Lynch related you need to check this album out, but that’s just an unfair assessment. This should really be checked out by anyone who loves quality 80s / 90s melodic hard rock music in general.This Rock Candy remaster is huge, big, crisp.

The band original line-up also features Dokken's drummer, Mick Brown. However, with the waning popularity of "hair metal," the album didn't make much of an impact but reached gold status in the United States. Vocalist Oni Logan was fired shortly after the tour, as his life style had negatively impacted his ability to perform. But accordingly to a Rockshowmagazine interview with former bassist Anthony Esposito he explained that since Logan wasn't a great performer live Lynch decided to go with a different singer on their follow up, self-titled album.The next album Lynch Mob (released in 1992), which fared even worse upon its release due to the explosion of grunge.
