Universal Music released remastered, expanded version of GARY MOORE’s first solo album, "Back On The Streets".This is in fact a Rock Candy remaster, although it's not credited to them due to legal reasons. But you will see that the 12 page full colour booklet, 3,000 word essay, enhanced artwork and rare photos are in the typical Rock Candy fashion. And yes, the album was remastered by Rock Candy resident Andy Pearce.This very good piece of history from one of the most talented guitarists in rock history features four B-sides / alternate versions as bonus tracks. "Back On The Streets" is best known for one of Gary Moore's milestones, the song "Parisienne Walkways" which reached the UK Top 10 single charts and features Phil Lynott. The album also include a hot cover of Thin Lizzy’s "Don’t Believe A Word".But there's also another gem on this reissue, the most touching song Gary has written; "Spanish Guitar" in three wonderful versions, one better than the other.An album full of innovative music for the era, "Back On The Streets" is a pleasure to discover, or if you enjoyed the vinyl to death, to grab this excellent reissue remastered.

The late Gary Moore was one of the finest and most respected guitarists of his generation.This show, recorded at London’s Bush Hall on 17th May 2007, was originally broadcast by Planet Rock radio. This is the first time the recording has been made available outside of this original broadcast. The concert features a number of tracks from Gary’s then newly released “Close As You Get” album, many of which he rarely played live after this, alongside classics from his extensive back catalogue. Gary Moore was a great live performer and this release will be a welcome addition to any fan’s collection.

Universal Music Japan is reissuing in 2016 nine rock masterpieces from GARY MOORE featurig cardboard sleeve cover artwork, the high-fidelity SHM-CD format and the latest remastered sound - plus bonus tracks."Wild Frontier" is one of Gary Moore more "80s sounding album", melodic and with lots of keyboards according to the era (1987), but still his killer guitar chops are present all over the record.By 1987, Gary Moore was a well established and experienced guitarist, known for his recordings with Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and many others, as well as his solo career which by then was going quite well worldwide. Since about '83, though, he had been going through the motions, releasing a couple of very commercial sounding LP's. However, in 1986, his friend and musical soulmate Phil Lynott passed away, and the devastation triggered Gary's inspiration. He decided to go back to the Irish-tinged hard rock of his Lizzy days, and dedicate his next record to Phil. This turned out to be quite a successful experiment. Gary took the melodies and harmonies of Thin Lizzy, spiced them up with his own blinding guitar skills, and framed it all inside a typical, reverb-heavy 80s-style production. The songs on here range from dramatic, storytelling epics, to pop metal, to bleeding instrumentals and even pure Irish inspired music."Wild Frontier" contains the impossibly epic hit "Over the Hills and Far Away" which reached #20 in the UK, as well as a cover of the Australian band The Easybeats' hit of the middle of the 1960s, "Friday on My Mind", done in quirky mid-Eighties vein plenty of synths."Strangers in the Darkness" is prime a '80s AOR midtempo, "Take a Little Time" is a heartbreaker melodic rocker with a unique Irish feel, while the pumping title track carries - dare I say- the greatest Moore's melodic guitar line ever. "Thunder Rising" is one of the most devastating hard rockers ever, while the mega-emotional "The Loner" - penned by Max Middleton and originally recorded by Cozy Powell - was substantially altered by Moore for his own recording, thus he was credited as a co-writer."Johnny Boy" is probably the most touching farewell Philip Lynott ever got after his passing, and now considered a Gary Moore classic.Originally, the album packed 8 tracks. But the CD edition included two awesome versions of "Over the Hills and Far Away" and "Wild Frontier", both extended 12” mixes, something common around in 1987 and a pure delight for '80s suckers.Additionally, there's an additional gem: "Crying In The Shadows", one of the most elegant, atmospheric and pure AOR tunes ever recorded by Gary Moore. A must.But wait, there's more in this remastered reissue; an extended mix of "The Loner" (killer), a 12'' version of "Friday on My Mind", and a hot live recording of "Out in the Fields".Many times criticized for the use of programmed drums (come on, this was 1987!) and too many keyboards, "Wild Frontier" is a great '80 product by Gary Moore. If you love the Melodic Rock / AOR sound of the era, you must own this CD. You simply can not beat the catchy choruses, the sharp guitars, the harmonies and the lyricism on this album!The sound on this SHM-CD is top notch and it's sold pretty cheap so hurry up, it's a limited release.

It features as well, monster vocal contributions by legends Glenn Hughes and Phil Lynott.Indeed, checking the credits, you'll see no less than four big name producers were employed in the making of "Run For Cover": Mike Stone (Journey, Whitesnake), Peter Collins (Bon Jovi, Queensryche), Andy Johns (All!) and Beau Hill (Ratt, Winger), with each playing to their strengths.Parping '80s keyboards are present and correct but not obnoxiously so and complement songs like 'Once In A Lifetime', the excellent title track and the awesome 'Out In The Fields'.The choice of vocal wonder Glenn Hughes, to guest on four of the tracks, works really well. His, for once, understated delivery meshes really well with Gary's voice. Repeated mention must be made of the towering contribution of Phil Lynott to 'Military Man' and 'Out In The Fields', that pretty much justify the album as a classic on their own. The guitar-led version of the terrific 'Empty Rooms' that appears here is far more fully formed than the previously recorded by Gary, which in retrospect sounds more like a demo.All these SHM-CD remastered reissues offer juicy bonus tracks, but "Run For Cover" presents a true gem: the touching remake of 'Still In Love With You', a song that bookends Lynott and Moore's collaboration from the original version on Thin Lizzy's Nightlife album to this version, recorded not long before Phil's sad demise in 1986. The track was initially only issued as a single B-side.Plus, we have live takes on 'Stop Messin' Around' (Moore & Lynott on vocals) and 'Murder In The Skies' (Moore and keyboardist Neil Carter sharing vocals) both recorded in 1984."Run For Cover" is fantastic record by a fantastic musician, this time accompanied by top class cats which have rounded a superb piece of Rock.This SHM-CD remastered reissue sounds excellent.

Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011), was a Northern Irish musician, most widely recognised as a singer and virtuoso guitarist.In a career dating back to the 1960s, Moore played with musicians including Phil Lynott and Brian Downey during his teens, leading him to memberships with the Irish bands Skid Row and Thin Lizzy. Moore shared the stage with such blues and rock musicians as B.B. King, Albert King, George Harrison, and Greg Lake, as well as having a successful solo career. He guested on a number of albums recorded by high-profile musicians.Gary Moore died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 58 during the early hours of 6 February 2011. At the time, he was on holiday with a girlfriend at the Kempinski Hotel in Estepona, Spain. After a quiet dinner, they went for a walk on the beach before going up to their room. His girlfriend raised the alarm at 4:00 am, and tried to give him a heart massage. His death was confirmed by Thin Lizzy's manager Adam Parsons.The musician suffered a heart attack brought on by the massive amount of alcohol in his system according to The Daily Telegraph. Universal Music Japan reissued 9 rock masterpieces from GARY MOORE discography featuring cardboard sleeve cover artwork, high-fidelity SHM-CD format and the latest remastered sound plus bonus tracks.“After The War” – perhaps Moore’s best produced album ever – is one of my favorites.“After The War” was the last hard rock album from Gary Moore before he turned a heavy-blues performer. And what a great way to say goodbye to the genre he embraced all over the ’80s.This was a return to a harder sound – yet with a glossy production – and ‘real drums’ after his previous more commercial, melodic hard rock oriented album Wild Frontier (another personal fav to be featured here as well).Oh yeah, we have terrific drummers here with god Cozy Powell handling the most, but also Simon Phillips (Toto), Charlie Morgan and Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy). The rest of personnel is stellar too: Bob Daisley (Ozzy, Uriah Heep) on bass, Neil Carter (UFO) on keyboards, Laurence Cottle, Chris Thompson, etc.After the short instrumental ‘Dunluce’, the title track rocks with power and melody. Cuts like ‘Speak for Yourself’ and ‘Running From The Storm’ are true hard rockers recalling Moore’s early solo works, while the Cozy Powell-propelled songs ‘This Thing Called Love’ and ‘Living On Dreams’ have a particular swagger that just puts a smile on your face that no drum machine ever could.Ozzy Osbourne makes a guest appearance on lead vocals in the tongue and cheek track ‘Led Clones’ which takes a pot shot at bands like Kingdom Come and Great White, who, while having platinum albums at the time, were obviously borrowing their entire sound and image from Led Zeppelin. (Ozzy also does some background vocals on ‘Speak for Yourself’).There are some hints of what was to come as well with the bluesy ‘The Messiah Will Come Again’, which heralds Moore’s new birth as a blues guitarist.Gary once again pays tribute to his childhood friend and musical brother, Thin Lizzy’s Philip Lynott in the emotional ‘Blood of Emeralds’. Its feeling recalls the celtic fugue of Lizzy’s song Black Rose and closes this particular chapter of Gary’s career in euphoric style. Best of all is a track not included on the original vinyl release but subsequently added to CD versions.This remastered version features various bonus tracks, including an incendiary version of ‘Wild Frontier’ live.“After The War” is a killer hard rock record by Gary Moore, his last in this style, and one of his best.This Japanese remastered version on SHM-CD sound million bucks, and it’s pretty affordable.

Bu we have the just appeared Japanese Edition on Blu-spec CD2.Venturing deep into the Moore family archives, some previously unheard and unreleased deep cuts and alternative versions surfaced to accentuate the beguiling mastery of one of blues’ finest modern exponents.Amongst the songs are unheard and unreleased Moore originals – “In My Dreams,” a lusciously glorious slow-moving ballad with every note and bend weeping as Moore pours out his heart along with the stunningly melancholic “Looking At Your Picture”.This year marks a decade since the tragic passing of the iconic Northern Irish musician and singer-songwriter. He left behind, not only an incredibly formidable back catalogue of music from his esteemed solo career, Thin Lizzy, Skid Row, Colosseum II and more, but also a legacy matched by few others.Gary Moore was one of the greatest guitarists to ever walk on Earth and a musical force of nature. His playing is revered both for his high-speed hard-rocking fretboard attack as well as his melodic and softer solos, full of his soaring sustained notes and passionate licks.He’s, of course, also a great singer and a versatile songwriter, having released, in addition to his trademark bluesy hard rock, music within genres as diverse as jazz fusion, folk, heavy metal and pop.Thanks to Provogue’s effort of digging deep into the guitar ace’s musical archives, we have this new album, ”How Blue Can You Get”, consisting of four originals and four covers, presenting us with more of Moore’s classic sound and his ability to make blues standards sound even more potent.First of all, it’s not clear who were the band members backing Moore in each of the tracks but they certainly do provide the needed groundwork for his six-string wizardry and strong vocal performance.His tone is superb as usual, with the right combination of power, distortion, and clearness and he makes the most of it, hitting and bending notes with laser-like precision to craft monumental lead guitar exhibitions.The record is also full of the beautiful slow soloing he is so famous for, with his incredible ear for melodies, especially in the ballads, taking the spotlight as he puts out great solo after the other with pure passion.Swaggery in the hard-hitting faster cuts and melancholic in the sad, slower ones, his vocal delivery is extremely competent and fits the overall mood of the songs perfectly.The album kicks off with a muscular version of Freddie King’s “I’m Tore Down”, a live favorite of Moore, but never released before as a studio track. It’s a six-minute tour de force, featuring amazing extended guitar solos.It is followed by a take on Memphis Slim’s “Stepping Out”, a fun and lively instrumental track with some great lead work too. The third track is the slow blues masterpiece “In My Dreams”. Released as the album’s single, this ballad is a beautiful and sensible piece of blues art and the strongest number on the album.The first half ends with the title track, a supreme cover version of the B.B. King classic that brings everything Gary Moore is so good at to the table with its slow cadence punctuated by the Northern Irishman’s dazzling leads.The second half starts with “Looking At Your Picture”, a persistent midtempo number with a haunting melody. The next song is a bluesy version of Moore’s melodic rock ballad “Love Can Make a Fool Of You” released originally in his 1982 album Corridors Of Power. In my opinion, it sounds better as a blues song, especially because of another stellar and emotional guitar solo.The seventh track is a cover of Elmore James’ “Done Somebody Wrong”, a blues rocker featuring Moore’s best vocal performance on the album.The last track, “Living With The Blues” is another beautiful and melancholic ballad that closes the album on the highest of notes.This release is a must have for Gary’s fans and a great addition to anyone’s collection, a great way to celebrate the life and music of one of Rock’s ultimate guitar heroes.

Just released into a nice box-set, ”The Sanctuary Years” contains the studio albums from GARY MOORE‘s time at the prestigious record label, four albums from between 1999 and 2004 covering a diverse period in Gary’s storied career.Starting with 1999’s underrated and little experimental ‘A Different Beat’, and ending with 2004’s traditionally-minded, muscular awesome rockin’ outing ‘Power of the Blues’, two of the four albums on offer feature bonus tracks.With a substantial career already behind him, the late 90s found famed Gary Moore exploring his options. Having left Virgin Records, Gary signed to independent British label Castle Records for 1999’s ‘A Different Beat’, his twelfth solo album, and one of his most eclectic. Castle was acquired by Sanctuary Records in 2000, and Gary Moore along with it.He would stay with the label for three more albums – ‘Back to The Blues’, ‘The Power of The Blues’, as well as ‘Scars (credited to Gary Moore, Cass Lewis and Darrin Mooney), all of which are featured in this special box set, which captures Gary as he concluded an experimental phase in his career and made his return to the blues that had made him famous.This was a particularly fertile period in Gary’s career and, as a result, all four albums are essential additions to any blues / rock fan’s collection.
On disc 1 - we find ”A Different Beat” (1999). The late 90s was, for many artists, a time of flux, with electronic forms making ripples that would have a profound effect on the rock music of the period. Even established artists found themselves dabbling in new forms, with varying degrees of success. David Bowie, ever the chameleon, had taken in industrial, drum ‘n’ bass and jungle on Earthling (although, by 1999, he had come full circle with Hours), Eric Clapton had incorporated synth elements into Pilgrim, and even Metal God Rob Halford had collaborated with Trent Reznor for Two.Thus, Gary Moore’s controversial ”A Different Beat” had precedent, even if it was a more extreme example of genre-hopping from an artist with a passionate fanbase.Remarkably, despite some twenty-three years having elapsed since its release, ‘A Different Beat’ still sounds amazing. This was never simply some bandwagon-jumping effort and Gary was always an open-minded artist. In making a “drum ‘n’ blues” record, he sought out a capable band that included Roger King (Keyboardist for Steve Hackett), Gary Husband (drums) and Phil Nicholls. With the EZ Rollers on board, A Different Beat’s production has barely dated and, while the phrase “ahead of its time” may be overused, it is apt here.The album kicks into gear with Go on Home, Gary’s heavily wah-inflected guitar giving way to a skittering dance beat worthy of latter-day Depeche Mode. While some of the synth elements do place the track firmly in the 90s, it’s a blistering opening, featuring some fiery guitar and a sneering vocal that owes as much to Bobby Gillespie as it does Buddy Guy.Lost in Your Love has a soulful, Dan Reed Network feel and a sparkling solo, melding the various elements together beautifully, while the playing is exceptional throughout. Then, there’s the shimmering Worry No More, which slips between airy verse and hulking great rock chorus, recalling elements of Clapton’s soundtrack work for the Lethal Weapon series. The first side closes with a souped-up cover of Hendrix’s Fire – an apt title for a track that perfectly lives up to the “drum ‘n’ blues” billing.Gary takes his foot off the pedal a touch for the reflective Surrender, a track that cleaves closer to the Midnight Blues for which Gary is famed. A solid track, it settles under the skin as it expands towards its epic conclusion. There’s plenty of energy on House Full of Blues, however, a gritty number complete with scuffed vocal, electrifying guitar work and punchy beat, while Bring My Baby Back, opens as a straight, acoustic-blues piece, before a taut beat emerges to drag things kicking and screaming into the 20th Century.It’s followed by the toughened drum ‘n’ bass of Can’t Help Myself, which sees Gary crooning over a skittering backdrop. A dramatic piece that just keeps getting heavier, it’s one of the album’s strongest moments. In contrast, Fatboy takes things a step too far, with the guitar so repetitively looped it may as well be a sample. Fortunately, We Want Love provides the album with a strong conclusion, Gary side-stepping into trip hop and proving remarkably adept in the process.Blues purists will scoff, but ‘A Different Beat’ is the work of a restless artist unwilling to repeat himself. Given the creative and commercial risks involved, it’s clear that this was the result of a genuine fascination with different musical forms and, while not every track is successful, the results are frequently convincing.Ultimately, ‘A Different Beat’ is the sound of an artist following is muse, devil may care, and for that (alongside the passion Gary so clearly invested in the project) it is more than worth a listen.
Disc 2 – Back to The Blues (2001) - Sometimes all you need to come back to yourself is a change… They say a change is as good as a rest and A Different Beat was certainly a change. As a result, Back to The Blues sees an energised Gary Moore taking to a set of blues rock belters with a panache that is frequently breath taking.rom the hard rocking Cold Black Night which sounds like a fired-up Rory Gallagher, to the slow-paced Stormy Monday, Back to The Blues, as the title implies, sees Gary taking things back to basics and it works a treat.The first half of the album gets off to a brilliant start, the crackly Enough Of The Blues seeing Gary cackle “I thought I’d had enough of the blues, but the blues hadn’t had enough of me”, which pretty much sums up the whole relationship in a nutshell. It’s followed by the horn-soaked glory of You Upset Me Baby, a cover which sounds like it was a blast to record, and which features some absolutely scintillating lead from Gary, who blazes away with real authority. A swinging number that feels custom made for swirling around the tiled dancefloor of an American diner, it gives way to the taut, dynamic riff of Cold Black Night, a slinky piece that creeps up on the listener, building momentum before Gary does an abrupt vote face and delivers the stunning Stormy Monday, another cover and a smouldering blues possessed of some amazing lead fills.With the halfway point approaching, Gary gives us another cover made in his own image, with the stabbing drama of Ain’t Got You, a belter that shows the passion and power Gary could muster regardless of whether he was playing his own tracks, or tackling someone else’s.The slow-paced Pictures of the Moon is a gently keening number, with lead that seems to cry out its loss. It’s a lovely piece with a Clapton vibe, not least in the vocal delivery, but it’s soon swept away by the sheer joie de vivre of Looking Back, a brilliantly lively track that gets the toes tapping relentlessly.The pace slows once more for The Prophet, a gorgeous instrumental that firmly reasserts Gary’s credentials as one of the best blues guitarists the world produced. It’s one of those tracks in which the listener easily gets lost, only really snapping back to the world when follow-up How Many Lies explodes into action, Gary raging on his guitar and delivering the vocals with crisp precision. The album ends with Drowning in Tears, an expansive, poignant coda to an album that frequently sees the band (and Gary in particular) at full throttle.This album on the box also features three bonus tracks, the single edit of Pictures of the Moon which shaves roughly half of the runtime from the album version; and two live cuts tracked at VH1, both of which capture Gary on fiery form.The first, Cold Black Night sees the track delivered with real flair, his vocals snapping as the band pick up the pace behind him. The second track, Stormy Monday, is rendered here as a late-night blues, with whiskey slowly dripping onto the floor and the last of too many cigarettes burning out in an overflowing ashtray. It’s a tasty bonus that adds real value to the disc.
Disc 3 is ‘Scars’ (W/ Cass Lewis & Darrin Mooney) released 2002. - Following on from Back to the Blues which had seen Gary Moore return to his roots, ”Scars” took the power trio format and ran with it. For the project, Gary retained Primal Scream drummer Darrin Mooney, and recruited former Skunk Anansie bassist Cass Lewis for a project which had the likes of Hendrix and Cream in its sights, albeit with hard-edged, modern production values.The result is a remarkable record that mixes ferocious hard blues with some looser-limbed jammed out pieces, three of which extend easily past the six-minute mark.The trio go in hard on the Hendrix-infused When the Sun Goes Down, which sees Gary giving his Wah pedal some serious stick. With the beat nailed by Darrin and Cass’ subtly funky bass lines roaming around the track, it’s a hell of an opening, that sees Gary edging into Glenn Hughes territory on a chorus possessed of an electrifying power. The band keep things tight with the stabbing riff of Rectify, a heavy blues jam with an alternative undercurrent that really cooks. Arguably the blueprint Black Country Communion would follow a decade later, Rectify sees Gary and his band absolutely on fire.Next up, and as if to prove that A Different Beat was no aberration, Wasn’t Born in Chicago takes a lithe drum ‘n’ bass rhythm and crunchy synth bass, although the chorus is pure hard rock action. Bridging the gap between these opening numbers is the darkStand Up, which sees the power trio format neatly augmented by some heavy-duty synths, and it might just feature some of the heaviest riffing Gary ever indulged. As if to avoid going too far overboard, Gary then pulls things back with the gorgeous, seven-minute Just Can’t Let You Go. A sensitive piece, it strips away the banks of electronica and lets the album breathe after so full-on a first half.The short, sharp My Baby (She’s So Good To Me), is an irresistible old school boogie that harks directly back to Cream. It’s followed by World Of Confusion, a bone dry, heavy blues with a ferocious riff and a Led Zeppelin pulse. The album’s highlight is surely the epic-length Ball and Chain, a loose jam that recalls the psychedelic excursions of Cream and Hendrix, but with production values that bring it more in line with Mad Season. One of those songs that just keeps you hooked, it features stunning musicianship, and it more than earns its extended run time.With the album hastening to an end, World Keep Turnin’ Roundis one last slab of breathless heavy blues, very much in a Hendrix vein, before the band wrap it up with one last epic in the form of the Clapton-flavoured Who Knows (What Tomorrow May Bring). As with Ball and Chain, this slow-paced and rather lovely track pulls off the impressive trick of making a nearly ten-minute runtime seem far too short, and it ends this brilliant collaboration on a high.
The final CD in the set is an absolute blinder: Power of the Blues (2004). - Following on from the rock-focused Scars, Gary kept Darrin Mooney, reunited with bassist Bob Daisley, and found space for Jim Watson on keys, refocusing on the blues and creating a masterpiece in the process.It’s hard to believe that this is his fourteenth album, such is the muscular power he brings to bear, and there’s little argument that Power of the Blues sees Gary operating at full throttle for the ten tracks on offer here.Setting the pace, the whip-crack riff of the title track is a love letter to the blues that combines influences from Rory Gallagher to Buddy Guy and packages them up in a super-lean production that sets the senses whirling. Next up, There’s a Hole offers some truly gorgeous lead work from the very first moment, and there’s real emotion packed into Gary’s performance.Bob Daisely shines on Tell Me Women, his prowling basslines keeping things slinky, even as Gary lets loose with his stinging leads over the top. Next up, the evergreen I Can’t Quit You Baby (a Willie Dixon song already covered by Led Zeppelin) is delivered with genuine soul, Gary and his band digging deep into the groove, while the autobiographical That’s Why I Play The Blues is an absolute highlight that provides one of the most succinct accounts of the blues on record, combined with a melody to die for.Having brought the lights down low, Gary comes out fighting on the stabbing Evil, another Willie Dixon cover. Delivered with explosive force, it’s a hell of a wake-up call at the heart of the album, and it paves the way for the similarly electrifying Getaway Blues, a track built around Daisley’s thunderous bass lines.The ghost of Hendrix floats over a cover of Percy Mayfield’s Memory Pain, delivered here with subtle Wah elements and soulful vocals. Then there’s the scene-stealing jam of Can’t Find My Baby, an original track that, thanks to Gary’s rare skill, sounds like some long-lost cut from the 50’s.The album ends with the slow burning Torn Inside, which has a dusty Western vibe reminiscent of David Lynch. It’s the perfect closer for the album, and it leaves the listener very much wanting more.From 1999 – 2004, Gary Moore was on fire, working with some fantastic musicians and enjoying a return to the blues after a period of impressive experimentation.This box set picks up with the underrated and frequently brilliant ‘A Different Beat’, and concludes with the stunning ‘Power of The Blues’. In all honesty, there’s barely a duff track to be found amidst the forty-four on offer – and how many artists can lay claim to such a track record?

Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 – 6 February 2011), was a Northern Irish musician, most widely recognised as a singer and virtuoso guitarist.In a career dating back to the 1960s, Moore played with musicians including Phil Lynott and Brian Downey during his teens, leading him to memberships with the Irish bands Skid Row and Thin Lizzy. Moore shared the stage with such blues and rock musicians as B.B. King, Albert King, George Harrison, and Greg Lake, as well as having a successful solo career. He guested on a number of albums recorded by high-profile musicians.Gary Moore died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 58 during the early hours of 6 February 2011. At the time, he was on holiday with a girlfriend at the Kempinski Hotel in Estepona, Spain. After a quiet dinner, they went for a walk on the beach before going up to their room. His girlfriend raised the alarm at 4:00 am, and tried to give him a heart massage. His death was confirmed by Thin Lizzy's manager Adam Parsons.The musician suffered a heart attack brought on by the massive amount of alcohol in his system according to The Daily Telegraph. Moore had 380mg of alcohol per decilitre of blood (0.38 percent) in his system.Blood alcohol content in the 0.40 percent to 0.50 percent range is considered to be a lethal dose.Moore was laid to rest in St Margaret's Churchyard, Rottingdean, East Sussex, England, in a private ceremony, with only the family and close friends in attendance.
