M.ILL.ION is a highly critically acclaimed Swedish melodic hard rock band formed in 1989 in Gothenburg, Sweden by bass player B.J Laneby.M.ILL.ION´s music is described as "the perfect mix of classic rock, melodic metal and rock'n roll" comfortably placed in the 21st century. Their biggest influences include Kiss, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Dio and Queen.Seven original albums released so far.Their latest album Sane & Insanity (Europe/Japan 2011) went straight to the No.1 spot on the U.S Import chart NEH and reached the "Album of the Year" list at the world's most important site for hardrock, melodicrock.com. In Japan they have a really strong following ever since their debut album charted there in the 90´s.Their song "Showstopper" from the Detonator album was featured in the EA Games video game NHL 2003.They have done several headline tours and also shared stages and tours with bands such as Magnum, Nazareth, Oliver/Dawson Saxon, Michael Schenker Group, Pretty Maids among others.Some of the festival appearances include the major Sweden Rock Festival (attendance record+ named “best band of the festival” by UK Magazine Powerplay), Firefest (England), Rock Over Munich (Germany), Hard Rock Hell (Spain) and Stockholm Rock Out. When this is written, July 2013, the next one is Skogsröjet in Sweden July 26/27, where the band play the main stage joining the headliners Twisted Sister and Helloween a.o.The band signed with the US-based Respectable Artists Management in July 2013.

Now in 2026 the Swedish rockers return with the brand new album LEGEND! Produced by the band and mixed by Martin Kronlund the album contains nine melodic hard hitters.Having signed with established label Escape and the management of Dave Tedder, Head First Entertainment, this very inspired band is more than ready to rock!Formed In 1989 the original band released their debut “No.1” in 1992. A cult melodic rock album that was mixed in the legendary PUK Studio in Denmark. The debut reached the top 30 in Japan and got great reviews all over. Following their debut the more experimental “We Ourselves & Us” and the very rocking album “Electric” were released. Again – great receptions! All three albums with Hans Dalzon (then Johansson) behind the microphone.In 2000 the band was rebuilt and led by bassist B.J Laneby M.ILL.ION did four more albums “Detonator”, “Kingsize”, “Thrill of the Chase” and “Sane & Insanity” all the way up to 2014. Then M.ILL.ION was put on hold The four original members then reunited in 2020 ahead of M.ILL.ION´s 30:th anniversary. The band released the reunion album “BACK ON TRACK” which included four brand new songs and remixes and remasters from their back catalogue material. Great reception from the media all over, to quote Fireworks Magazine as one example :”An extremely strong melodic rock album! Welcome back M.ILL.ION!” Adding to that, and of course the most important things: the fans' reactions, a totally sold out reunion show followed by very successful touring and gigs with their friends in Magnum and Alien. All led to where we are today. A classic band on fire is back with a brand new album!The whole M.ILL.ION-journey up til now includes album charting, music placed on EA-Games, headlining their own European tours as well as opening for legends like Michael Schenker Group, Magnum, Nazareth and the original members of Saxon. Sweden Rock Festival (SWE), Skogsröjet (SWE), Stockholm Rock Out (SWE), Firefest (U.K ), Rock Over Munich (GERMANY) och Hard Rock Hell (SPAIN) are just some examples of all the festivals M.ILL.ION have rocked.
