Hard Rock with AOR touches.Everlevel hailed from Lasarte-Oria (Gipuzkoa), a band with years of experience in the music scene started out in the mid 80s, releasing some demos in the early 90s. In 1995 under the name La Fase released the self-titled album “La Fase” with great review and reputation back in days. During all these years the band release more albums under the name Arka, La Fase and Everlevel. So the new album “Hardwork” continue in the same level, blend melodic rock tunes with some poppy elements, very catch tunes, amazing work on keys, very romantic and sensitive themes and tight production, that brings memories from the 80s and 90s music melodic rock scene.

After four years in the making, Spanish band EVERLEVEL is releasing "Hardwork", their brand new album. These are bunch of experienced musicians that have been working together since the mid-Eighties and under different names.EverLevel musical style always has been a mix of '80s inspired melodic hard rock tunes with strong AOR melodies all over.EverLevel put out an indie album in the early Nineties, then they changed the name to La Fase releasing a self-titled CD which gained a solid reputation and reviews back in the day.After that they continued playing and recording under the name Arka (one album), and EverLevel again (last album from 2014).After four years of “Hardwork”, we have this new album, plenty of energetic songs full of melody akin early FM / Overland, Journey, etc.The overall sound and production is a little 'rough around the edges' but that's the style EverLevel wants, according to the band's members.What I like about EverLevel and the songs in “Hardwork”, is their strong keyboard / synth presence on all tracks. The keys are a substantial element in the music, defining the classic AOR orientation.You have a song titled "AORland", and that speaks for itself. However, the song (and all into the album) is surrounded by sharp electric guitars providing a muscular attack.Take a listen above to the single / video "Never Give It Up", and this give to you a hint of what EverLevel is all about.It's all quite catchy, well arranged and professionally recorded, classy stuff for all Melodic Hard Rock / AOR aficionados out there.

Bio:

Melodic Hard Rock band from Donostialdea, with AOR touches. The members are from Lasarte-Oria. The group started with this name in 1991, coming from 1988 with other components and the name of Weekend. The band ceased its activities in 1993 to became La Fase but they split up in 1997 and resumed them in 2011 until they edited his first CD called EverLevel on his own independent label. In 2018, the guys recorded "HardWork" giving it a tougher touch but without missing its principles, full harmonies and melodies throughout all parts of the production. The current lineup is practically the original since 1991, except for the bass player. Frank G. (Javier G), vocalist and guitar, Djeezas H. (Jesus H), keyboard player and choirs, Raph A. (Rafa A), drummer and choirs, Gonz S. (Gonzalo S), bass player and choirs. Other bass players, in chronological order were: Emilio S, Ricky M and David C. One of the greatest gems of melodic rock made in Spain.

After that the continued playing and recording under the name Arka (one album), then EverLevel again.While La Fase utilize Spanish lyrics, EVERLEVEL is full English, and musically taking references from the 80s / 90s / 2000s AOR & melodic rock sound both from America and Europe.EverLevel musical style always has been a mix of melodic hard rock flavored tunes with strong AOR melodies all over. This new album is plenty of energetic melodic rocking songs and smooth AOR atmospheres, reminiscent from FM, Strangeways, Journey to more modern acts like Newman, Overland.What we like about EverLevel and their songs is the strong keyboard / synth presence on all tracks. The keys are a substantial element in the band’s music, defining the classic AOR sound and creating wonderful atmospheres.While the overall production is a little ‘rough around the edges’ and at places Javier has a noticeable accent, the focused material on offer makes EverLevel very, very enjoyable.

After the obligatory pandemic lockdown, AOR / Melodic Rock act EVERLEVEL is back with their new album titled “Future“. While it wasn’t possible to play shows, EverLevel has been busy composing and recording their new material and are delivering here no less than 16 songs.The original working title for the new album was ‘AorWork’, and this give you an idea of the music packed on this record alone. This is a mix of ’80s inspired melodic hard rock tunes with strong AOR melodies all over served with detailed arrangements and polished production.EverLevel is a bunch of experienced musicians that have been working together since the mid-Eighties and under different names, however always with passion for classy, timeless AOR.EverLevel put out an indie album in the early Nineties, then they changed the name to La Fase releasing a self-titled CD which gained a solid reputation and reviews back in the day. After that they continued playing and recording under the name Arka (one album), and then EverLevel again.“Future” is plenty of energetic songs full of melody akin the classic era for the genre, updated to current times. The album’s new title refers to hope of better things to come after Covid-19, but judging the material on offer the original ‘AorWork’ would have perfectly fit the enjoyable music on it.
