Profile Taste was formed by the two brothers Christoffer and Felix Borg the day before new year’s eve in 2009. First, Taste was only supposed to be a side-project, because both also had played in other groups. But it didn’t take long before the Swedes decided to turn Taste into a full band. During the two following years, they wrote and recorded five songs inspired by the 80′s and bands like Europe, FM, Giant, Valentine and White Lion.Since they never met any suitable band members to complete the line-up and therefore couldn’t play live, the brothers decided to record their first full-length album themselves. Taste had a vision to blend a vintage 80’s sound with a fresh modern production. The self-titled album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Christoffer Borg in his own studio and will now be released on CD by AOR Heaven on January 18th.

TASTE is a band from Stenungsund, Sweden. The band represents beautiful kind of music which comes from distant Swedish AOR and melodic Hard Rock, inspired by the 80s. TASTE was founded in 2009 by brothers Christoffer (Lead Vocals / Guitars) and Felix Borg (Bass / Drums). The brothers recorded their first full-length album themselves, which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Christoffer Borg in his own studio and was recently released by AOR Heaven."Back To The Future” demonstrates a short view of the overall of the next forty minutes, a great mover back in time to the genre's gold days. My favorite song is "Doesn’t Feel Like Love”. I was touched by the awesome catchiness that this song possess, might sound with a bit of Pop, but it has great rhythm guitars, catchy chorus, and I can't complain about the rhythm section, a radio friendly track perfectly composed. Surely fans of H.E.A.T. will be in seventh heaven. “Danger Games”, with its keyboards performance has a BON JOVI vibe with a shred of EUROPE. “Our Dreams” will produce a smile on your face, I hope. It has great singing, full melodies, romantic type lyrics not that cheesy and great energies. Totally amazing and brilliant. The AOR ballad “Cry For Love” has a heartrending chorus and atmospheric keyboards commanded by an remarkable guitar work. Worth listening is also the charming “My Rose” delivered with a fantastic piano and fabulous guitars, took me to the majestic realms of AXEL RUDI PELL. Christoffer Borg's voice is oh so gentle. “In My Arms (Tonight)” is a heavier number with dynamisms, cool lyrics on the chorus displayed in the likes of DOKKEN and GOTTHARD. “The One” begins like an 80s power ballad with the common natured lyrics “You are the one, the one for me…”. Other text examples: “We are destined to be together, you will always be mine heart, You are the one…”. The guitar riffs are melodic and similar to the song "An Arrow from the Sun" by THERION.I love this album and this band, they created fantastic music, catchy melodies and they show that classic Hard Rock is the real deal. It's hard to believe that TASTE consists only of 2 members. Everything, every sound is great, no boredom just plain relaxation. They seem to be inspired by such bands like: H.E.A.T., EUROPE, GIANT, FM, DANGER DANGER, WHITE LION, BON JOVI or TREAT. On this album is hearable the whole love for AOR and the '80. There is also a great feel of a youthful spirit in both the music and sound, highly recommendable.
