Bio:

WildHeart is a young and hungry Belgian band with a great love for the 80s and the classic hard rock and glam metal from that period. Bands such as Whitesnake, RATT, Mötley Crüe, Dokken, Van Halen are their inspiration and you can clearly hear that in their song writing. WildHeart catapults you back to the Sunset Strip anno 1986 and lets you relive the golden '80s! The debauchery on stage and the carefree rock 'n' roll vibe is their top priority and with that mission WildHeart always takes the stage. The band originated in 2014 and since has a lot of shows on the counter in national and international venues and festivals. They already shared the stage with LA Guns, Channel Zero, Evil Invaders, Night Ranger and Skid Row! WildHeart was even asked as a support act for Y&T in De Kreun on part of their European tour and Marco Mendoza (Dead Daisies & Whitesnake). In addition, they have already performed several times at the prestigious Hard Rock Hell festivals in the UK.WildHeart released their first album in 2016 and it was received very warmly in both the Dutch and Belgian press. In 2017 they signed a licensing deal with the German label City of Lights Records. Their new album No Love, which will be launched in 2019, was produced by Joren Cautaers and was mastered in Sweden by none other than Erik Martensson, known from Eclipse and W.E.T.They are described by Rock Tribune as a mixture of Mötley Crüe, Van Halen and Dokken and in the meantime they have lived up to that expectation and have already won a lot of hearts with their reputation as a strong live act. Let them take you on their rock-and-roll journey.

Album:

Hailing from Belgium, this 5-piece band WILDHEART is a young and hungry band with a great love for the ’80s and the classic hard rock / glam metal from that period. Bands such as Whitesnake, Ratt, Mötley Crüe, Dokken, Van Halen are their inspiration and you can clearly hear that all over the track list form their latest album “No Love”.WildHeart catapults you back to the Sunset Strip anno 1986 and lets you relive the golden ’80s carefree rock ‘n’ roll vibe. After the intro “The Mirror”, “A Stranger’s Eyes” begins with a gentle note progression, before hitting the distortion pedal. It’s old-school melodic hard with a chorus hook.“Nothing But Trouble” is a cross between melodic tempos and aggressive guitar lines. With “Dutch Courage”, I’m picturing big haired guys in tight pants with red tassels hanging off their sleeveless arm-bands, and columns of fire erupting behind them. It is a real throwback to 1984, and I love it.There is a Whitesnake vibe to the guitar line of title track “No Love”, while sure enough “One Way Ticket To Paradise” is about the same. Another great guitar line where the vocal harmonies in the chorus shine.“Rumours” starts very Ratt like, followed by a solid bridge and a really good chorus.Does anyone remember the song “Good To Be Bad” on the 2008 Whitesnake album of the same name? WildHeart wrote their own song with that title, and the guitar intro is almost as strong. I’m not crazy about Farty’s high-end vocals on this one, but there is much good to be found in track number eight.“Valerie” is a nicely done blues stomp. The guitars are dirty enough, with an Eddie Van Halen flourish. “Tonight We Rock” is the most up-tempo offering on this album, quite heavy hard rocking. The band’s music is absolutely firmly rooted in the ’80s sound and writing sensibility.WildHeart have the chops and they know how to rock good, and while production & mix is well done, in the hands of an expert twiddler these guys cna make it bigger.

Foxx - Guitars
