Stonetrade is a band originating from the Sala – Fagersta region in Sweden. We play hard rock / heavy metal with influences from the 70s and 80s and we just love to play in front of a live audience.The band was formed in the fall of 2008 by Olle, Magnus and Fredrik. Anders Hultén – vocals and Jens Bakke – bass were recruited to the band.Pretty immediately we started working on our first demo: “Creatures of The Underground – 2009” which became a real hoist for us. The demo was played frequently in our region and at the same time we participated in the music contest “Rockkarusellen – 2010” where we made it to the district final.Now gigs started dropping in. We did some festival, clubs and supporting act to established hard rock bands.During autumn 2010 we started working on some new material which later resulted in our second demo “Dying Soul” which was recorded by Petri Kuusisto in his Sound Peak studio.Sadly enough, Anders and Jens chose to leave us, for personal reasons, and our last gig with them were Fastbo and the Ingbofestival in 2011.The hunt for replacements started giving the result of Jörgen Lindhult on bass, former “Mothers Hope” and Johan Spinord, former “Black Rose”, on vocals.As of January 2012 Stonetrade is now complete again!Since there are many new songs laying around we choose to start up by making a new CD, given the name “In The Middle of The Monster”This being recorded in our own studio Rockersroom engineered by Jon Aitman. Will be released in May 2012.
