It all started when two pairs of childhood friends, from two different Danish islands, were united. Anders Brink (vocals, guitar) and Maico Thyge (bas) from Bornholm - Anders Kargaard (guitar) and Jonas Bangstrup (drums) from Amager. With a common passion for the rock and metal masterpieces of the past and a frustration over the general state of current commercial music, the boys buried themselves in a dark and smoky basement in Copenhagen. Soon here after SEA saw the light of day for the first time. With their upcoming second album ready to go, the band is raring to show the world how they have grown and evolved since the debut album. The boys are ready to make a name for themselves and bring their hard rock to the stages around the world.

SEA are now back with their sophomore album "The Grip of Time" and once again the fans and critics are impressed. Strong vocals, heavy riffs, catchy choruses, twin guitar soloing and a mission to keep the guitar led rock alive, combine into making the band a huge adrenaline boost into the music scene.Their award winning debut album has received world praise from both critics, fans and rock and metal legends. It has brought SEA several awards, nominations and many miles in the tourbus around Denmark and the rest of Europe. Now the band is back with their long awaited second album. It was recorded in Vibe Factory Studios in Copenhagen with producer Jakob Winther who is primarily know for his work with artists like Justin Hawkins (The Darkness) and Lukas Graham. SEA wanted to bring in Jakobs slightly different perspective and experience into their heavy rock universe. The focus have been to capture the atmosphere that the band create at their live shows. The sound is both raw, warm, alive and organic and the result is something that both the band and producer are very proud of and eager to show the world. The record is mastered in Abbey Road Studios by Alex Wharton who has mastered albums and singles for some of the biggest acts worldwide including The Beatles, Bring Me the Horizon, My Bloody Valentine and many more. It gave the band and unique opportunity to work with their music in one of the holiest temples of rock music. It was a perfect end to a long and giving process. Even though the sound is heavy and energetic, the record also explores more mellow, melancholy and melodic elements. Lead Singer and lyricist Anders Brink, writes about both personal, existential, political and social subjects. So besides giving the listener a kick in the ass, “The Grip of Time” also creates an opportunity for a more in depth listening.
