MIDNIGHT RIDER is a german Heavy Metal Band, formed in Koblenz in 2004, by Guitarist and main Songwriter Blumi. The Genre is classical Heavy Rock.The first line up was a german-japanese-alliance with the following members: on vocals Wayne (ex-British Steel), on guitar Blumi (Metal Inquisitor, Metalucifer), on bass Cliff (Metal Inquisitor, Deathfist, Metalucifer) and the second guitar by Samm (Magnesium, Ex-Sabbat) and drums by Kenji (Gorgon).After the release of the selftitled 12" EP "Midnight Rider" in 2009 the band became very quick a well noticed underground-act worldwide. Untill today the band gets more known all over the world.Since 2013 the band has a new line up and consists of german members only. In the beginning of 2017 the band will release their long awaited first full-length-album with 10 brilliant songs.

Midnight Rider is a band from Koblenz, which is dedicated to old school hard rock. Now after a few years of existence and a few live gigs, as well as an EP on vinyl (2008), these gentlemen come with a real album and a line-up from the sinking changed since 2015! "Manifestation" spontaneously reminds me of old Black Sabbath with Ozzy and Priest as they were still at Gull Records. To this sound fits the depressive looking black and white cover super! Two members of the quartet also play at Metal Inquisitor and Metalucifer (guitarist Blumi and bassist Cliff). Singers Wayner also sounds very much after early Rob Halford with some Ozzy and the very rough and old school production makes "manifestation" sound like a work which some truffle pigs have just excavated and somewhere with a record company since 1978 in the closet. Especially the roaring bass and the so far from 2017 distant style of the songs mostly coming in midtempo make the charm of this record. By the way, the disc also takes some time and is certainly not a drink and party disc. In the long run I have too much mid-tempo on board! The song title of "I Wanna Be A Prowler" I feel just as cool as the final "Unknown Woman Of The Seine".Who is so-called occult rock and various Retroacts like I laughs, or is annoyed by these, should listen here what British from Germany!
