In 2006, with the end of the heavy metal band Travil(Itapetininga/SP), the members and friends Thariel Manteiga (bass) and Glauco Barros(guitar), with the desire to continue playing together and the goal of having a great metal band invited Andre Xavier, drummer of Vulture (Itapetininga/SP), Danilo Moraes (vocals) and Rick Leite (guitar) from Scarekrow (Itapetininga/SP) to play covers and songs from their old projects.The will to play music from their own authorship, good rapport and technical capacity of the members created, in April 2007, PERC3PTION.The name PERC3PTION makes an analogy to the ability to create something new and original, adding different tastes and influences of its members, resulting in different perceptions in people who listen to their music and read their lyrics.With this team PERC3PTION composed their first song, The Third Eye, whose theme is the virtual reality and the domain of machines over men.Between 2007 and 2008 the band composed several songs blending melody, heaviness, feeling and technique, always with well-crafted lyrics, covering topics obscure and controversial. The group has performed in many concerts and festivals in the interior of Sao Paulo, promoting their work, always making it the best possible way.In June 2010, facing some changes in their line-up, PERC3PTION admits Luiz Poleto for vocals and releases the single Dead Man In Me.In early 2012 Peferson Mendes takes the drumsticks and Wellington Consoli the bass. Both of them, longtime friends and partners of previous projects joined to complete the team and bring renewed strength to PERC3PTION.Throughout his career, PERC3PTION collects great performances alongside bands like MindFlow, Evergrey and Amorphis.Currently the main goal of the band is finalizing his first full album, titled Reason And Faith, set to be released by MS Metal Records throughout the Brazilian market, with distribution conducted by Voice Music.The concept of Reason And Faith is precisely the dichotomy “Science vs Religion” in various historical moments of humanity, real and fictional, and their consequences in our attitudes and perceptions.The album was recorded at Norcal Studios, in Sao Paulo, and has production Edu Falaschi (Almah), and co-production of Brendan Duffey and Adriano Daga.The cover and booklet of Reason And Faith is in charge of Wellington Consoli, also graphic designer, and his company After Design.
