Allied Nation is seasoned Bay Area melodic hard rock / AOR.Allied Nation, featuring Jeffrey Nation (lead vocals), Anthony Martinez (keyboards, guitar and vocals), Dan Petruzzella (lead guitar), Jeff Berger (drums), and Mike “Ski” Welinske (bass), was (and is) a mainstay of the San Francisco rock scene in the late 80s and early 90s, churning out now classic tunes like “Find Yourself Another Fool”, “If We Try”, and “Touch & Go”. Allied Nation’s infectious brand of melodic hard rock reached around the world, garnering praise and airplay throughout Europe and Japan. Releases include "Touch & Go" , "Hot Night in the City", and the upcoming new EP "Resurrection".

ALLIED NATION's new 6 song EP "Resurrection" is NOW available for purchase on CD! After long pause is here great new melodic 6-tracks album from this US melodic band !! Last album "Touch and Go" from 2009. Quality AOR is the name of the game here, although the opening 3 tracks are a little more straightforward Melodic hard rock with less in the keys department. Soundwise wise, this is a little uneven in places & you can definitely hear the varying quality of some of the recordings, but non are really bad or unlistenable, in fact, quite the opposite for the most part. If you like your mid late 80's AOR, this is one release to be added to your list and whilst I would say it isn't as good quality wise as the previous AOR-FM releases (the fantastic Dreamer disc especially), it is still a very good in places & highly recommended.

Collectors series number 5. limited edition of 1000 copies.With the new ALLIED NATION 2025 release you need to hear their “Touch And Go” CD, comprising the Frisco band recordings from the ’80s / early ’90s. The album, put together by the sadly now defunct British label AOR-FM, was a limited edition including 3 extra / bonus tracks, liner notes, and lots of photos from the era.This compilation showcase the talent of this five-piece whom were at the verge of being signed by major label Epic Records, but also it’s a perfect compendium of how American Melodic Rock evolved since the mid-Eighties to early-Nineties.Included here are the very first ALLIED NATION recording from 1989 and the band style is U.S. pomp-AOR, with majestic analog keyboards and smooth vocals. On the 1988 tracks you can hear a more AOR / Melodic Rock feeling, then the 1990 songs are much more mature melodic hard.Finally, the 1991 sees the addition of a new lead guitarist, and the music scaling to sharp hard rock, still with a clean melodic style. That’s how the genre evolved between 1985 -1992, and even unsigned bands like ALLIED NATION were part of the transformation.“Touch And Go” packs strong songs with something for everyone, from pomp and AOR to melodic hard rock, all with an American sound & style. The melodic chemistry between the members is just right on target, and their quality songs in this genre deserved a proper record deal / release back in the day.
