Have you ever wondered what AC/DC would sound like if you substituted a vocalist who is a cross between Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl and Steve Whiteman of Kix, added a French accent and then replaced all the nitrogen in the air with helium? No? Me neither. However, that’s pretty much what French Hard Rockers Overdrivers sound like. Don’t despair though, after a period of adjustment which includes surrendering any notion of comprehending what is being sung, you can grow to appreciate their sophomore release She’s On Her Period.Yes, that’s the album title and yes, there is a title track. Along with other bafflingly coarse titles such as “The Best Blowjob In History” and “Show Your Boobies”. Fortunately, once the simple riffs and lock step rhythm section get rolling you’ll forget all about the song titles. Songs such as “Hellhounds” and “Ride The Rockin’ Horse” have the infectious swagger and groove that hook a listener with ease.Overdrivers describe their sound as authentic Hard Rock and profess a love for the simplicity of Australian Rock. They further explain that “with a rhythm guitarist who plays just 5 chords and a bassist who can only play just ‘Mi’ or ‘La’, it’s hard to make any form of complicated music!” Simplicity abounds on She’s On Her Period. March 7th, 2025, will see Béthune/France-based heavy rockers Overdrivers release their hotly-anticipated, new studio album, entitled “Glory or Nothing”! The band’s third full-length album will be released through ROAR.French rockers Overdrivers consisting of lead vocals and rhythm guitar Adrien Desquirez, lead guitarist Anthony Clay, drummer Florian Morgano and bassist Lion Das Neves have unveiled a video for their new single “Meet The Monsters” from their upcoming studio album Glory Or Nothing, which will be available via RPM-ROAR on March 7, 2025.
