Lex Rex was a short-lived Christian Hard Rock band formed in late 80's.The band consisted of vocalist Harvey Prichard, guitarist Tom Brock, drummer Tony Vines, and bassist Curt Walsh. Tom Brock came up with the idea for the band name, which means "God's law is King." The band only released one album, "Beat the Heat", in 1990. After disbanding, Walsh toured with country artist Clay Walker and was a session player on Walker's 1999 album "Live, Laugh, Love".

Debut full-length album and unfortunately also the last.This album is awesome!It has a strong message and sounds a lot like old Van Halen! Best song off this one is "I Kill Devils".Most of these guys had a band called Warrior in the mid 80s.They eventually morphed into Lex Rex (which was a little heavier than Warrior).I saw Warrior in concert several times and they always rocked the place.Also, Harv and Tom were DJ's on the local Christian Rock station (WPRQ, Powertrax) in Kingsport. Harv was called Harvey the disc minister, and Tom was Thomas the believer.This is a great hard rock album.Cool production and fun to listen to.It has a good classic hard rock sound that's great to crank up.Beat The Heat!!!
