Band born in the middle of 2021, after a historical pandemic, to offer us a tour of the geography of rock and return the sound of guitars to our reality. Tommy Lopez (2) (Drums and composer) together with Vladimir Emelin, lyricist of the last album of the recently deceased Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), join in this project with the musicians Moises Cerezo, Izzy Cueto and the voice Marco May, to launch their first album. In addition, they will feature Omar Martínez on keyboards and Rob Wolf on guitars in their live performances. With influences that go from classic rock, to the most current sounds; Rock’s past, present and future are found in a first album, which sees the light from September, whose cover letter is the single “Shout” that we will be able to enjoy shortly on all platforms.

B.O.W / Brotherhood Of Wolves already pleased us last year with their debut album, now only a year after the group is presenting second effort titled “A Dump of Twisted Destinies“. B.O.W formed in Spain by drummer Tommy Lopez and lyricist Vladimir Emelin, both collaborating with the late Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) on his last record. After Hensley’s death, they decided to launch this classic hard rock band with material partially wrote for Hensley, but also fresh material.Still retaining the classic hard rock style from the ’80s and some AOR splashes here and here, “A Dump of Twisted Destinies” is more modern in terms of production, and focused on crisp riffs and concise songs.

Since formed a few years ago, melodic hard rockers B.O.W (Brotherhood Of Wolves) have been consistent releasing new material and after 2022’s ‘A Dump of Twisted Destinies’ now they are presenting the fresh opus “Chasing Shadows“. B.O.W formed in Spain by drummer Tommy Lopez and lyricist Vladimir Emelin, both collaborating with the late Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) on his last record. After Hensley’s death, they decided to launch this classic melodic hard rock band.With a classic style from the ’80s and some AOR splashes here and here, “Chasing Shadows” is modern in terms of production, however with a timeless spirit, convincing riffs and concise songs.This new album features new vocalist Diego Valdez (Drean Child, Helker) which smooth pipes perfectly fits the band’s songwriting. Former singer Marco May appears in a couple of tracks and a remix, while from Finland veteran rocker Rafa Castillo duets with Valdez on one song and performs another a sole lead.Also from Finland, Jani Hölli (Waltari, LoveGod) provides keyboards, and as guests we find Rob Wolf, Baire, Dr. Guit on guitar and Ale Stabile on bass.The album opens with the energetic rocker ‘I Don’t Give a Damn’ with a certain Scandinavian feeling, also upbeat is the driving ‘Dangerous Games’, but it’s on the midtempo ‘A Bad Dream’ where B.O.W stupendous AOR melodic delivery appears.‘Dust of the Times’ offers a different approach, more atmospheric, and ‘I’m Not the Killer of Our Love’ is a powerful ballad embellished with synths which gain dynamism towards the end, with some kind of Black Sabbath’s 7th Star album vibe.More quality melodic hard rock is served on ‘War Has No Face’ and ‘Army Ants’, we love the keyboard stabs on the AORish ‘Pain & Destruction’, while ‘Graves’ is an elegant ballad.Well produced, with a sound being at the same time classic and modern, “Chasing Shadows” is a really entertaining Melodic Hard / AOR album that despite its 14 tracks never gets boring.B.O.W is a very good band getting better and better with each new album.

B.O.W (Brotherhood Of Wolves) born in 2021 after a historical pandemic when Tommy López (Drums and composer) and Vladimir Emelin – lyricist for the last album Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) – decided to create a rock n’ roll band mixing the classic style from the Seventies & Eighties with a contemporary sound.”Beyond The Mask” is the just released new B.O.W album, where they explore new rock avenues without losing their essence. While the first albums revolved around classic Melodic Hard Rock and AOR, now the band add fresh ideas to some songs like rock&pop, heavy funk, and even some bluesy hard rock.B.O.W 2025 is modern in terms of production, however with a timeless spirit, convincing riffs and concise songs. There’s several guest musicians as well providing their own taste in solos and vocals.The twelve songs (there’s a 2025 of an old B.O.W track) have been composed and produced by Tommy López who has done a fine job together with Vladimir Emelin who, as in the previous albums, has written all the lyrics that gave shape to ”Beyond The Mask”.BOW’s new album marks a significant evolution in the band’s sound. With their signature melodic feel, they explore new sonic textures here, emotionally charged songs.A really interesting band doing their own thing.
