Bio:

Rock Band from the West Midlands UK. Formed Early 2022.A four piece classic rock band from the West Midlands UK.So, it began with a chance meeting between James and Tyler at an open mic in Nov '21. Instantly, as each performed, they realised each others passion to play at an extremely high level. Soon becoming good friends they began performing tother at open mics and the duo became known as JAY/LER (James & Tyler). They decided they wanted to expand the band and in Jan '22 Oscar Brooks, a bass player joined quickly followed by Edward Evans, a drummer and fellow music student at Lichfield college. All of them teenagers each with an eclectic range of influences and capable of playing several instruments giving them an unbeatable understanding of the music they perform and each other’s role. After starting at open mics, pub gigs and support slots the band are now regularly performing at some of the Midlands regions best known venues including KK Steel Mill & The Billesley Rock Club The band have earned an enviable reputation of being an amazingly talented and entertaining young rock band performing with musical ability and stage presence way beyond their years! In May 2023, due to the high gig demands, Oz made the difficult decision to step away from the band. Thankfully a great college friend of all the boys and fellow musician, Ricky Hodgkiss, jumped straight in and is now in the band as the new bass player.

Album:

‘Rock is dead’… hey Gene, you’re wrong. KISS bass player said that years ago, and while he was specifically talking about the rock business, I’m sure he will smile after listening the up-n-coming new UK band JAYLER.Jayler are a high-energy young Rock band from the Midlands UK formed in 2022, and they are presenting their debut album entitled “A Piece in Our Time”, a collection of classic hard rocking tracks with a traditional Seventies / Eighties sound. The amazing thing with 4-piece Jayler is that they average age is 17 year-old, but just wait to listen to their impressive maturity as songwriters and performers. Jayler isn’t just another ‘kids band’ with a manager making some money: they craft their art by themselves, and play the music they love. All these guys grew up listening Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, and recently, they mention Greta Van Fleet and Black Stone Cherry. You can hear all these influences on “A Piece in Our Time”, served with a clean production & mix.The young Midlanders have been generating a lot of buzz, and it’s easy to see why, given the obvious talent they possess. James Bartholemew is a frontman in the classic mold, and he throws himself into the role. The groovy “The Acid Rain” has as certain Soundgarden-ish strains but wrapped by a Seventies British hard rock, while the epicness of title track “Piece In Our Time” will raise some eyebrows.Still, it’s the impressive songwriting of “No Woman” that truly convinces that you’re going to see a lot more of Jayler. Youthful and skillful, they have a real presence, and as they continue to progress, they could become a mighty force indeed.

Ricky Hodgkiss - bass
Ed Evans - drums

Album:

JAYLER are a UK-based hard rock band by 4 young dudes channelling the raw spirit of ’70s classic rock with a modern edge. Built on swaggering riffs, soulful vocals and a fearless live presence, their sound carries the weight of LED ZEPPELIN, the ambition of AEROSMITH, and the urgency of a new generation, without ever sounding like a throwback.JAYLER have a huge year lined up, hopping onto a World Tour with DEEP PURPLE, as well as shows with SAMMY HAGAR in the UK. And before that, they are releasing their vibrant album titled “Voices Unheard“. Huge stuff for this young band…Fronted by the irrepressible James Bartholomew on vocals and guitar, alongside Tyler Arrowsmith on guitar, Ed Evans on drums, and Ricky Hodgkiss on bass and keyboards, JAYLER channel the core DNA of classic rock while forging something unmistakably their own.”Voices Unheard” unfolds like a late-night performance in a smoke-filled bar, overflowing with grit, atmosphere, and soul. James delivers each song with sincerity and emotional weight, drawing listeners into every lyric. Meanwhile, Tyler’s thick, dirty, and gritty guitar tone throughout the album is sure to resonate with guitar enthusiasts. The songs are neatly composed, nicely produced to give a vintage feel, and pave the way for upbeat anthems in the live arena.Opener “Down Below” is an uptempo, dust-kicking vintage stomper, with Bartholomew’s vocals soaring and snarling before slipping effortlessly into harmonica-fuelled storyteller mode – playful, confident and full of attitude. “Need Your Love” arrives as a full-throttle rock anthem for a new generation, driven by a chorus built for big rooms and bigger voices.“The Getaway” crackles with raw rock ‘n’ roll swagger, loud guitars and high-voltage momentum, while “Hate To See It End” barrels forward with a defiant, high-octane, go-for-it drive. At a time when so much in 2026 feels manufactured joy and chaos, love and hate alike… Jayler sound refreshingly real.
