Founded by Tore André Helgemo and William Ernstsen in 2008, with its origin spinning out from the band Friend, which were founded by Tore André in 2005, first time William and Tore André got to know each other. Since then they have developed their music through some lineup changes and finally in 2008 they even changed bandname to Stargazer, marking a new beginning, still keeping some of the good material from their first three years inside the band. Stargazer's first album received great reviews from the hard rock based media all over Europe back in 2010. Now, 9 years on, Stargazer is back with their second album, entitled "The Sky Is The Limit". After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, D.A.D, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer is now ready to take on the world. With a worldwide release provided by Mighty Music at hand, Stargazer sets out to be a beacon on the hard rock scene. A bright shining star emerging with energy and power, capacity and skills and a lyrical universe that both explores and recognizes the heart of darkness in humanity, yet fighting with passion always to light up a light in the gloom of nothingness. After the previous release "The Sky Is The Limit", Norwegian band Stargazer entered the radar of connoisseurs of the hard rocking world. The group was loudly hailed as one to watch. They received a lot of great reviews all over the western world and were, back then in late 2019, ready to take on the world for serious touring. But serious touring saw an abrupt end due to Covid-19 for almost every band in 2020-21, with Stargazer being no exception. The nordic five-piece didn't loose its spirit and, diligently, took the downtime to start penning the next album. Produced by guitar player William Ernstsen and vocalist Tore André Helgemo, "Life Will Never Be The Same" is the result of those dark times with a silver lining ahead. Engineered by William at Jedimasterstudios, Trondheim, and mixed and mastered in Medley Studios, Copenhagen, by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Electric Guitars), "Life Will Never Be The Same" is exactly the kind of album that you'd expect from a matured Stargazer and then some. The five-piece powerhouse hammers on with Scandinavian vibes that consist of virtuosity and a vintage sound with a modern twist, firing on all cylinders in combination with the sense of good melodies, great riffs, solos and songwriting handcraft ... with one of rock's best voices and one of the best blues-based hard rock guitar players around today. All this on top of a rock steady hard groove with killer rock songs such as "Live My Dream", or down to the most tender and heartfelt tunes, as for example the single "Live Today", with emotions worn on their sleeves. "Life Will Never Be The Same" is the sound of Norwegian classic hard rock flagship and Stargazer sets sail again with its this third release in their discography. One to change their life - and yours - for good.

The 2009 self-titled debut album by the Norwegian melodic hard rock band Stargazer (released via Avenue of Allies) is a highly regarded, 80s-influenced melodic rock album.Stargazer is a Norwegian newcomer in the hardrock scene. When it comes to melodic hardrock out of Norway it always interest me. They know how to bring out the best in melodic hardrock/AOR such as TNT, Stage Dolls, Return and the list goes on. Stargazer is a duo consisting of singer Tore André Helgemo and guitar player William Ernstsen. They have got help in the recordings of this album by two of Scandinavia’s most well-known rhythm section, Morten “Morty Black” Skaget (ex-TNT) on bass and Steinar Krokstad (ex-Stage Dolls) on drums. These guys must have been big fans of TNT because this sounds like Intuition era of that band and if you put in some Shy in there sound you will know how Stargazer sounds like. Yes, this sounds more like TNT than they do today. The album is filled with fantastic riffs and melodies and the songs has great hooklines. Singer Tore has a great voice and sometimes he reminds of Tony Harnell (ex-TNT) and Tony Mills (TNT, ex-Shy). The opening of this album is brilliant. Just listen to I Needed You that is a cracker with strong riffs and the chorus is great. Do you like TNT then Push Me will make you jump of joy because this is so close to the classic TNT sound you will get, the riffs are brilliant. Brother Against Brother is a fantastic mid-tempo hook laden rocker with a catchy chorus, best song of the album. The opening of this album is huge and the 2nd part of the album is not as good but still not bad. You Are The One is a bit average with a simple chorus that don’t lift. Keep The Good Times is brilliant with classy hooklines and the riffs are outstanding and this sounds so much TNT. Another favourite of mine. The production is also top-notch and the album sounds huge. So if you looking for a melodic riff strong album with lots of TNT in the sound then Stargazer is the album for you. I was surprised how good this album was. The grade is very close to a 4 because I been listen to this album a lot and I amazed by the stunning riffs this album has to offer. I recommend this album.
