Fire ’N Ice is a hard rock and glam metal band hailing from Rahway, New Jersey, blending classic metal roots with a modern edge. Influenced by iconic acts such as Aerosmith, Van Halen, Skid Row, Cinderella, Ratt, and Dokken, the band delivers high-energy riffs, soaring vocals, and infectious melodies. Originally formed in Massapequa, New York in fall 2022 by lead singer John Torra and guitarist Shane Chester, Fire ’N Ice quickly solidified its lineup with bassist/vocalist Marc Spyder and drummer Mike Gemini. The band made waves locally with their electrifying live shows and signature sound. On March 1, 2024, Fire ’N Ice released their debut EP Hypnotized, followed by their full-length album High Roller on December 12, 2025. The album features 10 tracks, including fan favorites “Coming Home” and “Break Away,” and was met with strong fan reception. Following Shane Chester’s departure, longtime roadie Brian “Sparrow” Gavilan joined as lead guitarist, bringing heavier influences from Megadeth, W.A.S.P., and the Ramones. With strong momentum behind High Roller, Fire ’N Ice continues to rise as a force in modern hard rock and metal.Fire ‘N Ice released their debut album in December 12th of 2025.

Album:

New York rockers FIRE ‘N ICE consisting of frontman John Torra, lead guitarist Shane Chester, bassist Marc Spyder and drummer Mike Gemini released their debut full-length album High Roller back on December 12, 2025.Head First Entertainment‘s press release indicates (with slight edits): “Recorded at Hellhound Studios in Rahway NJ and produced by Betto Andrade, the ten song affair blisters with late 80s / early 90s influenced melodic hard rock championed by the likes of Ratt, Black N’ Blue, Danger Danger and more. The album intro, “All In” is a slot machine sliding into a guitar solo intro leading into the title track “High Roller,” a song about an egotistical man with a serious gambling addiction “Welcome To The Show” was born from an idea drummer, Mike Gemini had of crafting a melody specifically meant to open the band’s live sets, originally serving as their show opener before High Roller. Inspired by the anthemic feel of KISS‘s “Shout It Out Loud,” and Aerosmith‘s “Make It”, the song functions as a full-throttle welcome to the audience, featuring dual lead vocals from John Torra and Marc Spyder.“Escape (Into the Night)” was revived from its EP version with a cleaner re-recording, incorporating police scanner audio throughout the track with all four band members acting out reports of a high-speed chase throughout North Jersey. Though centered around the chaos and adrenaline of a chase, the lyrics themselves carry no intended meaning. “The initial version of the song was assembled last minute for our EP by fusing together lyrics from several unfinished songs,” states frontman, Torra. “It has gone on to become a fan-favorite.” In “Don’t You Cry”, the quartet delivers a full-blown arena anthem and the track stands as a favorite among the band members, written by bassist Marc Spyder as a love song to the band’s audience. Taking inspiration from AOR acts like Winger, the song blends heartfelt emotion with big hooks, making it a ballad that easily catches the ears of listeners across all genres and “Coming Home” tells a tale of a more personal narrative pulled from Torra‘s life on the road. The song reflects long, late-night drives between Long Island and New Jersey—away from his girlfriend and family for rehearsals, performances, and recording sessions—often returning home after hours. “Coming Home” has since emerged as an early fan favorite from the album.”
