Melodic hard rock / AOR band from Spain.It's always amazing how many great bands from the AOR/melodic rock genre are making a big splash in the scene at the moment, even without label support. Next in line are the Spaniards Lonely Fire, who deliver an extremely strong album with ‘The Last Ride’. Somehow in the intersection of 80s sounds a la Danger Danger, Fair Warning or the classic Bonfire, the Spanish guys knock out two of the best genre tracks of the year with ‘Call Of The Wild’ and ‘Victory’! Max Bacon (GTR) can be heard as backing vocalist on ‘Call Of The Wild’; Ivan Gonzalez (91 Suite) produced this highlight!

Hailing from Spain, LONELY FIRE is formed by experienced musicians from the local scene. They are releasing debut album titled “The Last Ride” where they distils their love for ’80s AOR / Melodic Rock. Just take a look at the album cover art…However, and while there’s classy keyboard runs and synth swirls, LONELY FIRE sound is quite rocking, driven by strong guitar riffs and the powerful lead voice of Fran Rosique. The music in “The Last Ride” is inspired by the greats form the genre, but LONELY FIRE keeps things updated with a modern style, emphasized by a modern production.At places LONELY FIRE brings to mind early Lionville or Wild Rose, yet, as said, more rocking and grandiose. Just listen to a track like ‘Victory’, multi-layered, in the current Scandinavian style of the genre.The band just shared a stage in a festival alongside Eclipse, Extreme, Uriah Heep, etc. Let’s hope they get major exposure and a big tour as LONELY FIRE has the chops, the songs, and a very well rounded debut album to showcase their art all over the world.
