Established in 2014, Heavy Star roared onto the rock scene in 2016 with the release of "Electric Overdrive", a testament to founder Marco Kace's enduring love for heavier rock. Influenced by Kiss and the rebellious Ramones, Marco shaped Heavy Star's sound as a homage to the mid-'80s rock royalty, blending NWOBHM vibes with the energy of hair metal and glam.The band weathered lineup changes, welcoming drummer Adriano Jukka Merico in 2017 and bassist Daniele Papale in 2019. The pandemic-induced challenges in 2020 led to vocalist Albert's move to London and the departure of guitarist Danny Slade, prompting a reflective pause.In 2022, the arrival of lead vocalist Corrado Quoiani revitalized the band, setting the stage for their signing with Lions Pride Music in May 2023. Despite global upheavals, Heavy Star's perseverance bore fruit with the completion of their album, "Ride On", in December 2023. The mix and mastering, guided by Luca Pazienza and Marco 'Kace' Capasso, added a contemporary touch, creating a unique sonic experience.

Marco "K-Ace" is the mastermind behind this band called Heavy Star which comes from Italy to Americana. Marco is well known in the Italian scene and collaborated with Chris Catena on his debut album FREAK OUT (along with artists like Glenn Hughes, John Lawton, Bernie Marsden, Dave Meniketti, Bruce Kulick, Tommy Aldridge, Eric Singer, and many more.Heavy Star's sound takes you back to the golden age of hair metal: the days when bands like Ratt, Skid Row, Tesla, Def Leppard, Black N' Blue or Kiss were at the top of the music charts all over the world.They formed at the beginning of 2014. They have shared the stage with historical Italian bands such as Sick N' Beautiful, EDEN, Mindcrime, Shock Proof.An example is the ass kicking 'Love And Affection' , or a wonder called 'Blessed' the dirty and sleazy 'Higher Than The Sun' are all great reverences of the best 80's very USA style.'Desperation Alley' is more hair metal, and 'Wicked Seed (Fallen)' has some similarity to Lynch Mob while 'Serena' is the obligatory ballad in a Tesla vein.K-Ace hits the six strings in a very interesting way and Albert Fish is a real revelation on vocals. Their high-powered treble vocals make your hair stand on end, while the rhythm section is solid and confident.From January 22nd you can buy it.
