White Skies is a UK based AOR band formed by former Samson/First Strike vocalist Mick White, former Ya Ya guitarist Ray Callcut and former Double Cross/Dante Fox keyboard player Pete Lakin. Just prior to the start of the pandemic in 2020, Mick and Ray (who were old friends from the eighties) had discussed the idea of writing a pure AOR album very much in the style of the giants of the genre like Journey, Foreigner and Toto.

The British White Skies are certainly not newcomers, but a band with a long history and decades of scene experience in the studio and live. Their much-acclaimed debut "Black Tide" was released in 2022. After some warm-up gigs, it was first presented to the audience at shows with ROMEO'S DAUGHTER in 2023. In 2024, some festival shows followed, a support tour with TEN and some shows with FM as special guests. For their long-anticipated second studio album "Shouting At The Hurricane", WHITE SKIES created a sound that puts melodic class over technical effect shouting. The new album is the band's next logical step to catapult themselves to the top with a further sharpened musical profile and with a new label. The album breathes the spirit of classic adult oriented rock and at the same time confidently transports it to the here and now without sounding dusty and old-fashioned. It not only shows the full range of the AOR, but the very best that this music style has to offer. The songs captivate through first-class, timeless songwriting with a unique virtuosity and with them the band revives the golden era of melodic rock with substance and soul. The great choruses and emotional melodies hang right where classic AOR belongs. In the heart.
