The Claymore is a German power metal band that formed in 2000.Claymore, a metal band from Koblenz/Arzbach.THE CLAYMORE play thoroughbred power metal with only very slight deviations from the rigid genre template. That the promo info fantasises about an "unmistakable style" is almost real satire, because this band reproduces nothing more and nothing less than a prototypical sound that dozens of other bands have played before. There are the driving riffs, which sometimes make you bounce along, sometimes scrub along with a fat groove in midtempo. The drumming and the bass don't set any extraordinary fixed points in the sound, but are only there to give the riffs a rich foundation. The vocals exude a latent eunuch vibe, which shows off a sometimes enervating tremolo, especially in the long drawn-out notes.
