LOOKING FOR MEDUSA, born in 2011 in Clermont Ferrand is composed of 5 musicians, all coming from the "rock, hard-rock and metal" scene, having played on the Lyon, Paris and Clermont Ferrand stages since the 90s ( Transit, Mercure, Blade, Arlequin... ) .For three years, Looking For Medusa played clubs and pubs with a register of 35 covers of Rock and Metal standards and then refined in parallel its own repertoire of unique and original compositions.In 2013 the release of the first E.P "Into my Eyes" sold 500 copies in four months and was hailed by the public as well as by the critics of France Métal Muséum as a nice surprise, the track "Looking for Medusa" having also been selected on the rock compilation Warmachine of the Parisian label Dawn Records.Success was confirmed at the end of 2018 with the release of the first album "De Profundis", which sold several hundred copies in a few weeks.After great experiences with famous artists and bands ( Vulcain , Satan Joker , Blaze Bayley , Mass Hysteria , Nashville Pussy , UDO , Heat), the will of the band is clearly to take pleasure on stage and to share these moments with the public...small or big stages...pubs or festivals...with the same energy.On the roads of France and elsewhere, these 5 amateurs, passionate and "forcenés" of the music distil their music without labels nor barriers..for always more meeting and moments to be shared.

As usual, the music of Looking for Medusa offers a wide range of styles ranging from heavy power to more modern metal with their new album “Perseus”.The “Perseus” lyrics also explore various universes: the fantastic, the historical as well as more serious topical subjects touching on the dark sides of humanity.In summary “Perseus” is a powerful album with hymns cut out for the live.The vampire has always haunted the collective unconscious, this myth, this legend which had its real inspiration for Bram Stocker, the author of Dracula, in the Countess Erzebeth Bathory who believed that blood brought him eternal youth.His frenzy, his madness which led “the bloody lady” to be walled up alive after having terrorized the region by the murders of young people.His fatal mistake was to take his prey from the gentry. The Emperor, his cousin, could no longer close his eyes.It is this measure that inspires Looking For Medusa, the writing of the clip made in natural spaces in places steeped in history that recall the landscapes of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the powerful and fast music, the lyrics narrating this painting bloodied by poor innocent people.
