The Dark Horde is a collective of musicians, vocalists and actors from Melbourne, Australia. Together they have created The Calling, a concept album written and directed by Andrew "Brewin" Drage.The Dark Horde is Melbourne’s newest collective of internationally recognised musicians, vocalists and actors. Together they bring us ‘Mask‘, the first single from their upcoming concept album ‘The Calling‘ due for release in October 2021. Showcasing a powerful cinematic sound, ‘Mask’ brings eighties heavy metal into the modern era, driven by dominating riffs, compelling vocals and the supernatural horror tale that is the Prequel to Brewin’s 2012 novel The Dark Horde. The huge track sets high expectations for the 12 track musical narrative experience to follow.Brewin' (with or without the apostrophe) is the pseudonym of Andrew Drage. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he graduated from La Trobe University in 1998 with a first-class degree, majoring in zoology, philosophy and statistics. He has worked as an editor and designer for five titles in the highly acclaimed Gamebook Adventures interactive fiction series, a Senior Research Scientist at the Insectarium of Victoria and has over twenty years’ experience as an IT developer and analyst.Brewin is the author of Infinite Universe, a science-fiction gamebook, Evermore: An Introduction, a philosophical fantasy novel, The Dark Horde, a supernatural horror/thriller novel, and writer and director for the related heavy metal concept album prequel The Calling.
