Year : 2014
Style : Hard Rock
Country : Germany
Audio : 320 kbps + front + Video
Size : 123 mb

Bio:

Equipped with experiences from other bands, Slears can concentrate on the essentials. Just pure rock, straight tforward and modern. Two guitars, a good groove, and a necessary dose of hard rock result in songs, that are full of energy and, above all, good for one thing: having fun.Founded by Tom Käser back in 2007 with the idea, of finally making music focused just on the songs and not on the whole shmear. After countless live shows and several album productions (including “A Life Divided” and “Silentdecay”), the time was right to mount something new. From the first with sidekick Gustl Berauer, who importantly characterises the sound of SLEARS with solo guitars like a shot. Both know each other since the school days where they started their first band back in 1996.SLEARS´s first line up still presented musicians from bands like “A Life Divided” (Jürgen Plangger – vocals, Tobi Egger – bass) and “Dryrot” (Bastian Gawer – drums). Game changing was the change on vocals in 2008. Jürgen Plangger leaves the band to concentrate on A Live Divided. He is replaced by Toni Eichinger, who puts the band´s first demo “Stormy Roads Ahead” his mark on with his bluesy voice. The demo gets good reviews in several online magazines. Otherwise unfortunately not much happened. But this is sometimes the bands own fault. First Bastian Gawer leaves the band and is replaced by Max Winkler. Followed shortly afterwards by Tobi Egger. For him joins Andy Eichinger (the brother of Toni). But this line up is a brief one, too. Toni and Max leave the band in 2010.After months of fruitless searching the band is complete again as a five piece in the middle of 2011 presenting the new drummer Daniel Rasquin, who fits perfect with his filigree but powerful style of playing. Second new member is vocalist Peter Kandlinger. His multifaceted rock voice strengthens the sound of SLEARS importantly. The line up is as strong as never before. And rightly so the band decides to record a full length album with the approach to carry out the whole process themself with the support of Christian Mundel (owner of Retro Cube Studio). Many ideas are born and buried, tons of equipment purchased, tested and sold again. Parts were recorded, changed and rerecorded. The whole process drags on for over one and a half year.Mixing is done by Christian Mundel and mastering by Mika Jussila (Finnvox Studio, Helsinki). The band recorded an outstanding album including 12 modern and powerful rock songs which want to be played on stage. The title of the album “Far Away From Getting Somewhere” hints on the bands own philosophy, because one thing has never changed over the years: An easy going bavarian quality and a sense for the basics give rise to music that proves, that finding your own way is always the goal. Everything else comes naturally. The new album “Far Away From Getting Somewhere” is available in October 24th.

Album:

With their 3rd album “The Chaos Within”, the five Bavarians around band founder, songwriter and guitarist Tom Käser continue to write their success story. With their twelve new compositions SLEARS demonstrates once again impressively that modern rock from Bavaria can sound at least as consistent, powerful and full of tension as the albums of style-defining American bands.November 29th the new SLEARS masterpiece THE CHAOS WITHIN will see the light of day! With their twelve new compositions the band proofs once again impressively that modern Hard Rock from Bavaria can sound at least as consistent, powerful and full of tension as the albums of style-defining American bands. With razor-sharp guitar riffs, groove-driven drums and anthemic vocals, the band forms a powerhouse that inevitably cuts its way into your ear canals! The fantastic album artwork is by none other than reknown artist Annina Roescheisen, also from Schliersee. Her hand-painted work of art “ONI” is the perfect match to “The Chaos Within” to create a perfect harmony of look and sound. With PARTICLES the first single will be out next Friday September 27th.

Peter Kandlinger - vocals
Tom Käser - guitars
Gustl Berauer - guitars
Andi Eichinger - bass
