Looking For Heather is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Lindsay, ONTARIO.Welcome to “30 Years of Heather” and what better way to kick off the festivities than the release of a new 6 song collection appropriately named “Hi-Gain”. Formed in 1995 by Jeff Gutteridge & Jay Bowes , the band is back from a 2 year hiatus and returning to their rock roots! To further cement their return , long time lead guitarist Randy Solski is also back in the band bringing his trademark guitar string bends and soulful lead hooks.Randy wastes no time signalling his return on The lead off single “Don’t kill my rock n’ roll”, a huge rocker that sees songwriter / singer Gutteridge pleading for the masses to give rock a chance as “todays music ain’t got no soul”. Big riffs , soaring leads over a pulsing bass line , this song will make you want to run through a brick wall!“Small Town”, the second single is about breaking up in a small town surrounded by constant reminders of the one that got away.“Beat of your heart” is a 4 on the floor rocker driven by Jay’s thumping bass and punctuated by a catchy hook filled guitar riff. A massive rock love song about seeing the one you’ve always wanted and finally getting the nerve to ask them to dance.Rock is back.
