A Swedish rock band started in 2020. The musicians of "Caught In Action" have been an active part of the scene in Sweden for more than three decades. Stay tuned for more releases in the future.

“Devil’s Tango” is the title of CAUGHT IN ACTION, a new Swedish Melodic Rock / AOR band formed by experienced musicians whom have been played an active part of the Rock scene in Scandinavia for more than three decades. They all have had separate careers in different bigger and smaller local bands as well as they worked as backing-musicians for guesting stars on live stage or in the studio.With various successful gigs on their shoulders, and with the pandemic hiatus, they finally decided that it was the right time to release an album that could include their musical influences (ranging from Deep Purple, Journey, to Magnum, Danger Danger) with an updated sound, still keeping their big ’80s roots strong.We find here high quality Melodic Rock as as heard on songs like title track ‘Devil’s Tango’, the powerful and at the same time exquisite ‘Miracle’, or the impressive mis-tempo AOR of ‘First Time’.Guitarist and main composer Richard Jönsson together with keyboardist Ronnie Svard are the founders of Caught In Action, who found in the Portuguese Marcello the vocalist they needed to carry out what they had in mind.The band is completed with Ménito Ramos on keyboards, bassist Ricardo Dikk and drummer Mauro Ramos.Other highlights include the fluffy ‘New York City’, ‘It Is What It Is’ and ‘Simple Man’, with Marcello delivering a great vocal performance covering 6 octaves with his range. Of course we need a ballad and there’s a couple of very fine being our favorite ‘It Was Always You’ which feels like composed in 1989 but with a modern, polished current production.‘Closer To My Dream’ is a more intricate song in terms of arrangements but without losing its appeal.Coming out of nowhere, CAUGHT IN ACTION is more than a pleasant surprise and we hope “Devil’s Tango” will have enough promotion to reach as many fans as possible.This horrible pandemic pushed few good things, one of these is CAUGHT IN ACTION.

A Swedish rock band started in 2020.The musicians of "Caught In Action" have been an active part of the scene in Sweden for more than three decades.They have had separate careers in different bands or worked as backing musicians for guesting stars in the region. They’re now writing music to the Hard Rock /AOR audience online as well as live. Hard Rock and AOR is what’s been the foundation in their childhood and influences as Deep Purple, Gary Moore, Magnum, Rick Springfield, Journey, White Snake, Europe and others you can hear shining through their music. They started to write songs already in the beginning of the -80, but first in 2022 CIA they have released there first album " Devil´s Tango" . The second album is in the making and will be out under 2024.

Signed by Good Time Music, Swedish Melodic Rock / AOR band CAUGHT IN ACTION is back with a new album, ”Out of the Cold”. The world as we knew it was locked down due to the pandemic, but this musician and songwriter from the south of Sweden knocked boredom on the head.Richard Jönsson, who honed his craft as a guitarist and back up-singer with numerous Top 40-bands over more than thirty years, got tons of time on his hand when the pandemic cancelled all the gigs. Building on his love of AOR and melodic rock from the likes of Def Leppard, KISS, Magnum, Whitesnake, Boston and Survivor to name but a few, Richard dived in to a deep well of melodies, hooks, and choruses, and soon he had the songs. The result was the band’s debut 2022’s ‘Devil’s Tango’.With stronger songwriting and improved production, on ”Out of the Cold” CAUGHT IN ACTION sounds even more classy than before, melodic, smooth, with American ’80s influences however unmistakably Scandinavian.Caught In Action tap straight into that sound of the late 1980s Melodic Rock AOR, montage style of music. The sound of summer, convertibles, smelling of suntan lotion, and beautiful people on the beach. It sets that perfect idyllic soundtrack.All band members have been floating around the Swedish scene for three decades now, so that explains the quality of the songs and performances. They have certainly recorded another stunning album of classic-sounding AOR that will appeal to any fan of the genre.Where the debut had elements compared to the likes of Perfect Plan, this new album is more melodic as whole, closer to Work Of Art, Strangeways, Houston.It captures the spirit so perfectly you’d almost swear you owned this album back in the day. With tracks like ‘If I Could Change Your Mind’, ‘Days Of Wine And Roses’, ‘In This Moment’, ‘Staying Alive’, you’ve got the perfect soundtrack for the summer of 2025.This is melodic rock, heavy on the melodies and AOR hooks. However, Jönsson haul out some rocking riffs on a couple tracks for variation.If classic sound of the genre is your cup of tea, then you need to hear Caught In Action’s ”Out of the Cold”.
