Bio:

Frédéric Dechavanne and Sébastien Montet, hail from Paris, France. They were already long-time friends when they discovered their common interest in AOR and Melodic Rock in the mid 80s. Later in High School they founded their first band and instantly started writing their own songs, inspired by some of the most successful acts of the genre, attending countless concerts of bands like Def Leppard or Bon Jovi in the late 80s. Until 2003 they kept on working on their own material, but life had other plans for the guys and their songwriting activities were put on hold for almost two decades.In 2010 the two friends, who always kept in touch through the years, rediscovered the joy of making music together. New technologies paved the way for their revitalized musical collaboration with Frédéric now living in Germany, and they eventually recorded a demo album with 11 brand new songs in 2011.Ready then to take the next step, they contacted Alessandro Del Vecchio. The internationally renowned producer took them under his wings and produced the songs, including a couple of jewels they had written 20 years ago. PARIS debut "Only One Life" was recorded with the help of an international line-up of studio musicians, resulting in a collection of truly catchy Melodic Rock tunes.

MelodicRock Records is excited to announce a new partnership with French melodic rock band PARIS. The band’s new album ‘The World Outside’, will be released via MRR on July 1 in two configurations – the regular edition and a limited Special Edition featuring 2 exclusive bonus tracks.This follows the band’s debut album ‘Only One Life’ (produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio) which was released in 2013.For album number two, the PARIS story hasn't changed: it's still the story of two friends since the youngest of age, growing up in the suburbs of Paris and fancying the same kind of music in the second half of the eighties! Life separated the pair geographically, but music kept them united.‘The World Outside’ is expertly produced and mastered by Steve Newman - further entwining himself in the PARIS story. The British melodic rock singer/producer had added background vocals on the debut and repeats that role here, adding his voice once again to the rich harmonies on this album.The result is the perfect mix of the band’s pleasing AOR debut, with the harmony drenched trademark that is found on the NEWMAN records.Rounding out this album’s lineup is Steve's English teammates David Bartlett (bass) and Rob McEwen (drums), ensuring the best possible presentation for these songs.And because the PARIS story is all based on friendship, Seb made sure that Robert Säll was involved again on one song, like on the debut and Alessandro Del Vecchio adds backing vocals on one track.Frédéric says: “We're still writing songs together and we have a bunch of great tunes waiting in the vault, either for a next PARIS album or for any band or artist that requires new material.”

The third album of French based Melodic/Hard Rock band "Paris". Frederic Dechavanne and Sebastian Montet have been friends since their childhood, north of Paris. Both started to play guitar at the age of 15 - influenced by the leading hard rock bands like Scorpions, Iron Maiden or Def Leppard. A few years later, Dechavanne switched to keyboard.Studies and various job locations drew them apart but the friendship and song-writing collaboration remained. Paris recorded their first full-length "Only One Life" in 2013 . The follow-up record, "The World Outside" was released in the summer of 2016.The brand new release "50/50" was recorded with the same team as "The World Outside" including Steve Newman (production) Dave Bartlett (bass) and Rob McEwen (drums)… and once more with Sebastien's good friend Robert Säll (Work of Art, W.E.T.). Class AOR act PARIS are releasing their new album, their 4th, properly titled “Hungry 4 Action“, and as usual, you find it featured first in exclusive here.And “Hungry 4 Action” is not only properly titled with the ‘4’ in the middle, but for the ‘action’ we hear all over this great AOR platter. PARIS mastermind musicians / songwriters Sébastien Montet (guitars, backing vocals) and Frédéric Dechavanne (keys, synths, backing vocals) have forged a blistering new record.And part of the success is something we were requesting to PARIS: hire a talented singer to perform their melodic songs. Well, stars aligned: the songs on “Hungry 4 Action” are performed by Chandler Mogel (OUTLOUD), a terrific vocalist. And a guest appearance of Robert Säll (WORK OF ART, W.E.T.) completes the picture here.Produced by Steve Newman (NEWMAN), “Hungry 4 Action” is by far the best PARIS album, pure AOR with keyboard stabs to die for, load of harmonies, and catchy choruses.
