What do a german icehockey team and a swiss rockband have in common? Much more than one might think. It’s the wild image for example. The tough pace. The enjoyment.This has just has been the case with MAXXWELL and EHC Freiburg. Already „equipped“ with some success, the band now has written the official stadium-anthem for the ambitious club from southern Germany.The song is called „Slapshot“ and can be found on the EP of the same name, which will be released in the middle of October 2012. The song fits perfectly for hockeysports. It’s rocking hard, direct, straightforward and regardless of losses. The song is a declaration of love for icehockey and is reflecting the friendly relationship between the five musicians and the club.On „Slapshot“ there are also three other brandnew songs by MAXXWELL that will give you a taste of the bands third album that will be released in 2013. Since four songs isn’t that much of an album, the band also put three livesongs on their new disc that are already known as MAXXWELL-classics. Value for money – just as always in the case of MAXXWELL. If you want to see the fivepeace playing live there’s only one possibility in Switzerland – 24th November 2012 ist the place to be. Swiss hardrock/metal band Maxxwell has announced the release of their fourth album, "Metalized", on September 21, 2018. "Metalized" says it all: many concerts have left their mark. On the new record, the band rocks harder, catchier and a lot more edgier than on their earlier releases. Sometimes it takes a little longer for a work to reach completion. This is what happened with Maxxwell, who has taken a full four years to produce their fourth release. Thanks to the strength of the band's last album, "Tabula Rasa", they played support on tours with Michael Schenker's Temple Of Rock, Doro, Kissin' Dynamite, Rage & Shakra and support slots for Within Temptation, Extreme & GloryHammer - just to name a few. In the almost 10-year career of Maxxwell, they have performed a total of over two hundred shows. The band is ready to conquer the stages of this world and all signs point to a storm. The band's new self-confidence is also the completely autonomous way things are being done this time round. The band is overseeing the label, management, booking and production all in one. A tour has already been confirmed. Maxxwell will be accompanying "Threshold" on their "Legends Of The Shires" tour as a special guest.
