Passion was created by former Night By Night vocalist Daniel Rossall. In 2015 he received a song idea from his friends in Night By Night. Ben Christo and Jonny Thornton had a verse and chorus idea for a song that originally started out as a parody. Rossall began working on the idea with Thornton in 2017 and subsequently finished the song at the end of the year. Throughout 2018, Rossall continued to create an album of material with the aim to release the finished product for Frontiers Records. The album features Rossall on guitar, bass and vocals. In addition, he has also played drums, produced, wrote and recorded all of the songs.

Hot on the heels of their very good debut album appeared in January, UK melodic rockers PASSION are releasing “Under The Covers” via Frontiers Music. The new four-song digital only EP consists of covers from Van Halen (Poundcake), Slaughter (Up All Night), Ratt (Loving You Is a Dirty) and Winger (Easy Come Easy Go) classic songs.You gotta be brave to make a cover of these classy tunes, and Passion succeeded.Passion are unabashed about their influences and proudly wave the flag for melodic hard rock. It’s reassuring to see Frontiers Music releasing music from up and coming bands like this in addition to their roster of legacy acts and supergroups.Passion front man Lion Ravarez very easily could have written an album full of flavour-of-the-month, modern sounding tracks that might have landed Passion into the mainstream. And that would have been a shame.Instead, he chose to write and record music that he was presumably inspired by and that’s commendable to say the least.Passion‘s debut is a great melodic hard rock album, these new covers only add a more promising perspective to the band’s future.
