Sweet Cheater is a glam hard rock band from the Boston, Massachusetts, USA, that was formed in 1985.Sweet Cheater are Rock & Roll veterans of the Boston music scene.They have been entertaining crowds for years blending elements of hard rock, pop and metal into catchy melodic songs.Their debut CD, Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin’ was released in 2006 and includes fan favorites like “Summer”, which was recently featured in episode 4 of season 1 of HBO's "Righteous Gemstones", starring Danny McBride and John Goodman and “All Fired Up”, which was featured on the soundtrack to the movie “Baby on Board”, starring Heather Graham, Jerry O’Connell, John Corbett and Lara Flynn Boyle."All Fired Up" was also featured in the Spike TV series, “Blue Mountain State”.Sweet Cheater continues to entertain fans having shared the stage with Bret Michaels, Cheap Trick, Cinderella, House of Lords, Judas Priest, Skid Row, Slaughter, Skid Row, Whitesnake and Winger in recent years.They are currently writing and recording new material for their upcoming second release.

Sweet Cheater 1990’s album ”Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin’”, remastered & reissued by Perris Records in 2006.Sweet Cheater never got signed and you may think: ‘there was a reason’… sometimes due some unexpected things in life happening, but many times because musically the band wasn’t good enough.Not the case with Sweet Cheater: these guys were excellent, both as musicians and as songwriters. If you love ’80s glam metal, “Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin'” is a must… and especially if you love classic RATT.For this release Perris Records used the band’s self-titled cassette “Sweet Cheater” put out by themselves in 1990, added five extra songs previously unreleased (taped 1991), remastered the whole thing, and re-titled the CD ”Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin”’.Oddly, Perris discarded 2 tracks from the 1990 cassette, we added both here as extras.Musically these guys rock hard, with incredible catchiness, and best part of it: production is fantastic, huge and detailed. All songs are good, but the absolutely infectious ‘Summer’ worth the album alone. There’a a killer opener with ‘All Fired Up’, then ‘Money’s Tough’ kick ass, ‘Dancin’ On My Grave’ is punchy, and if you need a harmony-layered POISON-like pop-metal then play ‘Holding Out On Love’.Sweet Cheater’s ”Eatin’ Ain’t Cheatin”’ is a little ’80s gem, quality glam metal very, very well done.
