Hails from Belgium! Bloodrocuted is a young thrash metal band founded in 2010 by Daan (bass/backing vocals) and Bob (lead guitar & lead vocals) at the age of fifteen. In 2012 the line-up became complete when Jason (rhythm guitar) and Gaëtan (drums) joined the band. In 2013 they recorded their first album Doomed To Annihilation. Only six months after DTA got released, they set loose their first demo-tape called Persecution of the Misanthrope, a limited edition of 100 pieces. But it can be found online too. Since the first show (early 2012) they've played over 50 gigs in Belgium, supporting bands like Skeletonwitch, Havok, Hail of Bullets, Melechesh, Angelus Apatrida, Bonded by Blood, Hirax, Diablo Blvd., Darkness and many others. In the summer of 2014 the music for the second album, Disaster Strikes Back, was finished. In August the recordings started and about 14 days later the album was finished. Writing the music for the second album, they’ve found the style they really wanted to play. Inspired by their biggest influence, Suicidal Angels and bands such as Havok and Fueled by Fire, they came up with the sound that satisfied them all. It's more mature, has more variation and kicks ass harder than before! The artwork for both albums was made by Mario Lopez.

Eppegem, Belgium based four-piece Thrash Metal band, BLOODROCUTED, start off their new album, “Disaster Strikes Back”, with a homage to legendary Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction, by “covering” a cool version of Samuel L. Jackson’s reciting of psalm Ezekiel 25-17, fittingly called the reversed, “71-52 Leikeze”. After their attention grabbing, although slightly ripped off introduction song, they can only be further accused of 9 counts of rocking.BLOODROCUTED takes the best of ANTHRAX, MEGADETH and SLAYER, mingles it together and produces a really solid album with some well crafted songs and an all around delicious trashiness. As I am a Belgian myself, I’m not even being chauvinistic. They really sound great, and especially SLAYER’s influence comes through very clearly. Speedy guitars and bass playing from Jason Bond and Daan Swinnen, heavy hitting drums from Sander Vogt and Bob Briessinck’s kickass hoarse screaming voice are the ingredients of this tasty dish of Trash Metal.Appetizers “Revolution of the Enslaved” and “Burning the West” gives you a good idea of what is yet to come and they do what they aimed for; leave you behind wanting more. The main dish contains six more fast and heavy songs, with “The Sickened Mind” and “Human-Beast” as high points. Sweet desserts are album title song “Disaster Strikes Back” and bonus track “Rise of Evil”, who make sure you don’t leave the table hungry, but sated and satisfied.If you live in or near Belgium, or you just happen to pass through, try to witness one of their live shows. I can’t imagine those being anything less than a dirty, energetic whirlpool of heavy, piercing trashiness that will follow you around for several days to come. And if you don’t get the chance of catching them live, make sure you check out their brand new album. You will be stricken back by disaster, or you’ll at least feel that way.

It’s so easy to stereotype bands just by their names and the album names, and modern bands have proven us wrong time and again. Death Metal-ish named BLOODROCUTED’s debut full length “Doomed To Annihilation” (which is also more of a Doom Metal record name) is like a slap on the face for all the genre stereo typists in the metal circuit (including me). Originally released independently on Sept 2013, this beauty of an album is being reissued by Punishment 18 Records this May 25th, and the album does really pack a punch or two.The album starts off with the title track “Doomed to Annihilation” where the mid-tempo haunting solo slowly moves into a full-fledged Thrash Metal song totally surprising the listener. Once the real sound is eminent, the music is quite easy on the ears for a seasoned Thrash fan, what with the juicy riffage and mid-tempo screaming vocals going around, you got something going on here. The album goes on full throttle with “Violent Vortex” as the riffs scream out for your attention and are the driving force behind this album, but what mostly works right for BLOODROCUTED is the unique and innovative riffs they bring in every now and then in each song. The band has made the most of the duel guitarists they got, as the lead and rhythm guitars really have their share of limelight in the entire album. “Whispering Death” brings in a punkish feel while still managing to sound fast and almost Speed Metal-ish. The album keeps you interested for most part, but does pale a bit in the latter half, mostly from “Screams at Night”, as the band seems to struggle to bring in innovative riffs and new song structure to keep the album alive. While the songs aren’t bad per-se, they seem to just lack the freshness and innovative riffs that we as listeners crave for. There are still good shit going on with “War Chronicles” and “A Genocide Awaits”, the latter which actually is one of the more impressive songs on offer here for the new song structure and riffs that we get to listen.As a whole, with polished production and great riffs, this debut record of the Belgium Thrashers is worthy of your time and does bring a new side of Thrash to the table, all under 28 min. Thrashers should dig this.
