WARDRESS is a German band playing authentic 1980s Heavy Metal in the vein of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar, Dio / Black Sabbath, Omen, Savatage and the like. Regarding the songs of WARDRESS the word „authentic“ is to be taken literally.
Album:
Wardress from Nürtingen (now Frankfurt am Main) can look back on a long past. In 1984, the then 17 to 18 year old boys came together to make music in the style of their heroes like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Dio, Savatage or Omen. Unfortunately, the project crashed before you could import a record. Legendary 35 years later, after the troupe guitarist Alex Gor had found old demos in the cellar, the idea matured to complete the work that was started. Together with original singer Erich Eysn and two new people the album "Dress for War" was created. Listening, the listener embarks on a journey through time to the good old days of German Heavy Metal. One thinks directly of other representatives of this epoch like Tyran Pace, Stormwitch, Brainfever or Steeler. Since one rarely hears such songs with the typical impetuous and not caked sound, the album is just fun. All Oldschool Metal fans should check it all in and maybe Wardress will get the recognition they were denied in the 80's. Eight nostalgic points. How to get the album you can see below.
