This is how, in 2014, TurboDiesel began to take shape. After having changed some components, the official training was born in 2015, thanks to the bass player who put himself at stake and also proposed himself as a singer: Federico Balboni, known by the name of Balbo. Thus, Lorenzo Preziosi (Prezio) took the sticks in his hands and sat behind the TurboDiesel battery. What we ate the solos became Riccardo Billi, also called Billi (which is not a nickname, as we originally thought, but it is his surname!). And finally, the keyboardist who has spent the first year borrowing keyboards because he is only in possession of a piano: Matteo Govoni (Matte).The band's name was born inspired by our musical style, dirty and bad, as only a turbodiesel engine can be (or maybe because, looking at Balbo's car, we realized that turbodiesel was already written in front of our eyes ?!).It is in May 2016 that the band receives its first engagement at a parish festival in Casteldebole (province of Bologna) and, after this date, we realized that our genre was not at all suitable for this place! In this way, loads and with a great desire to play, we spent a year studying covers and the composition of our first unpublished. 2017 was the year of the turning point: after a series of contests and live events, in numerous places and types of events, we dedicated ourselves to the composition of unpublished works, in order to better express our thoughts through music.But let's not forget! It was during this period that we dedicated ourselves to the realization of our official rehearsal room, in that of Maccaretolo (a small town in the province of Bologna), also called Maccred. In a short time it turned out to be the forge of our ideas and, from December 2017, after reaching a sufficient number of unpublished, we dedicated ourselves to the engraving of our first album, Petrolhead, at the Wooden Studio, in Cento.To be continued ...
