DENIED was formed in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm, Sweden in 2004 by guitarist and mainman Andreas Carlsson. Devoted to heavy yet melodic metal, he wanted to expand his vision beyond a simple dream. The band recorded their first demoalbum in 2005, titled "Seven Times Your Sin" which was a local success and brought some airplay and gigs to follow.After two years of recording, the band's second demo album "New Army For The Old Revolution" saw the light of day in late 2008. To celebrate this occasion a releaseparty was held in their hometown Upplands Väsby where they gave 600 frantic fans a performance not soon to be forgotten.The band has earned a reputation as a great live act from their performances in various rock clubs in the area of Stockholm.In 2014 the band released their first official album "Let them burn" which was a huge success worldwide, bringing down great reviews.In December 2017 the single track Beggars and thieves was released via Sliptrick Records. One again, swedish mastermind Fredrik Folkare did the mixing and mastering. Coverart by Alexander Lifbom,New album "Freedom of speech to be released on 13th Feb 2018 via Sliptrick Records.Through the years DENIED has supported bands like DREAM EVIL, SISTER SIN, ENTOMBED, H.E.A.T, GRAHAM BONNET, RAGE, HELSTAR, CORRODED, ECLIPSE among others.

Swedish metal band Denied has released a lyric video for the song "Scarred Soul" (Sliptrick Records) from the upcoming album "Freedom Of Speech ...". The song features singer Johan Fahlberg (Jaded Heart) on vocals. The video was produced by Quantic Productions and directed by Johan Eklund."Freedom Of Speech ..." will be released on February 13 via Sliptrick Records. The cover artwork for the disc was created by Alexander Lifbom. The album was co-produced, mixed & mastered by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studio Stockholm, Sweden. Lead vocals on all tracks by Johan Fahlberg, except for "Don't You Know Me", "The Ferryman" and "Freedom Of Speech". Keyboard and effects by Fredrik Folkare. Very special guests on the album: Chris Laney (Pretty Maids), Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed, Firespawn), Andreas Larsson & Madde Svärd."We are super proud to finally release all the details for our new album. Fredrik Folkare has made the best sounding album in the history of the band that for sure will stand the test of time! It's heavy and crushing, right in your face! We wanted a different sound comparing to our previous CD and Fredrik did a great job! He has also contributed with keyboards, effects and also a killer outro guitar solo on the track 'The Devil In Me". Johan Fahlberg has also been a big part of the album, writing great lyrics and melodies. Chris Laney has done a guest appearance in the song 'Don't You Know Me" that he co-wrote with the band and Johan Fahlberg. Chris also wrote all the song melodies and lyrics for the track 'Domestic War'. Singer Andreas Larsson who offically left the band late this year is handling the vocals for 'The Ferryman' which he also wrote song melodies and lyrics for. The female vocals on the album are done by Madde Svärd at the end of the title track for the album. We have put our hearts and souls into every single track on the album! Some tracks are by far our heaviest ever and we have also written the most catchy and melodic stuff ever. A perfect mix of where the band stands today!"
