War of Thrones is a new 2011 metal band with old school metal influence written into their music, creating original heavy songs from the ground up. Their live shows deliver energy and theatrics that form a metal alliance.War of Thrones is an "in your face" metal band from Tampa, Florida. It all started with a vision from iconic metal singer, Wade Black, who fronted many metal bands such as Crimson Glory, Leather Wolf, and Leash Law. On guitar is none other than the amazing Rick Renstrom, who was the recording and touring guitarist for Rob Rock. Rick also recorded 9 international records, including Leash Law's "Dogface" record, and a solo record with various artists such as Matt Sinner, Richard Christy, and many more. Last, but not least, on drums is Jason Marks. War of Thrones aspires to capture the heart and stimulate the mind of its audience, depicting the historical battle between good and evil. The debut record titled "Conflict and Creation" is slated to start recording in February of 2012. The audio that is currently up are early demo samples. Forged in steel, WAR OF THRONES was formed when iconic vocalist Wade Black and virtuoso guitarist Rick Renstrom joined forces in 2012. Previously, the two had worked together in LEASH LAW releasing Dogface in 2005. Wade is no stranger to metal. For more than two decades, Wade has thrilled audiences worldwide fronting such legendary metal bands as Crimson Glory, Seven Witches, and Leatherwolf. Rick entered the scene in 2000, joining legendary vocalist Rob Rock's touring and recording band. Having toured around the world, hundreds of thousands have witnessed Rick's incredible and inspiring guitar playing. Joining Wade and Rick is bass player Rich Marks who delivers a booming low end and virtuosic moving lines along with former Yngwie Malmsteen drummer Patrick Johansson behind the drumkit. WAR OF THRONES continues to thrill audiences live as they share the stage with bands such as Kamelot, Drowning Pool, Marty Friedman, Anvil and Mushroomhead.
