Bio:
Ancestry was founded in late 2007 by guitarist, Luiz Monge, along with drummer Derek Avila, including Alan Garcia And Cesar Castillo on keyboards and bass, later Lobo would be added to the line-up as vocalist for the band, for a few months the band would have just one guitar player, but later they would add Eduardo Cuadros as a second one who solidified the first Ancestry line-up by joining the band. The band developed what would be the material for their first album during the course of the year 2008, year in wich they would share the stage with local and international bands like Rata Blanca from Argentina. After this the band would suffer their first line-up change when Derek left the band being replaced with Edgar Salais. In January of 2009 the band traveled to Mexico City to start recording their first album, titled "Revelations" in Allory Studios, traveling continuously to Mexico City to continue with the recordings of the album, the same recordings that would be interrupted by the decision to part ways with Lobo. The band would remain on a hiatus during the second half of the year 2009 and the first half of 2010, until Alex Gavilan joined the band as a vocalist, and with him on the band continue the recordings of "Revelations". After the recordings were finished the proyect was moved to the city of El Paso Texas, where additional recordings were made at True Records Studios, and soon after that the mixing and mastering of the record were done there too.Ancestry released "Revelations" in March of 2011, also the band will begin a promotion tour for the record in the summer of the same year.
Album:
Ban founded at the end of 2007, in Chihuahua, Mexico. For the guitarist Luis Monge, who longed to form a band of camalas that reflect their admiration for the sound of bands, such as: Angra, Dragonforce, Arch Enemy, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Children of Bodom, Helloween, Symphony X, Iron Maiden, Firewind and Metallica. In 2011 they debuted with their first full-length album loaded with jalapeño chili and that they titled "Revelations", and that was a great success in the nation of the rising sun. Another remarkable point of ANCESTRY, is that among the great names with whom they have shared the stage, they dazzle: Deep Purple, Michael Schenker and Yngwie Malmsteen. After a long silence of eleven arms, now they give us "Transitions". Lp of little more than 50 minutes, composed of 9 songs plus an intro of masterful sound of futuristic fanfare, which gives way abruptly and untimely to "Ashes to Oblivion", and they already show us that they were ultra-clear with their infiuences, since you will undoubtedly recognize all the bands mentioned and even, to be more exact, I would say that what ANCESTRY practices, is closer to a mixture of: Symphony X, Dragonforce, Children of Bodom and Stratovarius ... But all in one !!!With a thematic line that goes, from the different forms of hopes that feed the human spirit, varied stories of life and the Karma that surrounds us. With this structural framework, it is that ANCESTRY, develops all its musical ideas, which are of a high technical level, it is hard to get the idea that they are not Finns or Europeans. Very nice for these guys, but even when you pay attention to the excellent pronunciation of Eduardo Tavasci and it becomes more difficult still to believe his origin, because it is complex to erase that hard tone and peasant espatiol, characterized by a marked and singular accent , from my Mexican brothers. The songs are fast, with a great game of musical skills on the part of the guitarists, who alter extensive solos at times, as in other occasions they are not more than a few ups and downs, which are surprising for the unexpected of their entrances, without doubts the six strings in "Transitions", they bring speed and elegance, in addition there is a very good complement of these with the keyboard, which in itself, provides a correct beginnings and delivers that atmosphere of classicism inherent to the Symphonic root Metal. In the battery you will also find a lot of technique and mastery of all the components of it. At times Ileno enters the domains of the purer Speed, without losing technique and the integration with the bass is worth noting, because of the depth they deliver in each composition.
