Back in 2012, Marco Furlani met Lorenzo Nocerino as they begun a metal project together. While the first was coming from Prog Rock/Metal and the other from Power Metal, they started to play a melodic infusion of metal and rock sounds. With Andrea Zuccolo at the drums, they shifted to lighter and easy-to-listen compositions. As David came into the band shortly after, they completed their first original songs, and due to his "thrash metal education" they begun defining a heavier tone to the band's music. At this time their first single - New Battlefield - was born.It wasn't long though, before the three met bassist Gianluca Somma and drummer Marco Driutti who replaced Andrea as he moved to another city. Their musical approach once again redefined the band's activity: Gianluca brought melody and strong rhythmic lines and Marco got noticed immediately for his energetic beats and groove. Destination 5-11 was born.Writing new songs wasn't an easy task as everyone had different musical nuances, but at this time Destination 5-11 was finishing its product. Engaged in live performances since 2013, they have been working hard to bring a kind of heavy metal that gets its roots from the best classics, making songs easy to be approached by foreigners to the genre, but not saving on the hard sounds, energy and melody.2015 is the year of the public release of their first fully-self-produced Extended Play CD, Chains Of Mind, bringing these 5 friends' passion for Metal music to the audience.

Long live heavy metal!It is not always obvious that a kind, especially one of those classics that everyone thinks immortal, but that is precisely why in danger of disappearing because no one can give him the right heir, are in a young band fertile soil in which to plant new fruit grow, sprout and perhaps even evolve.It 's true, it does not happen often, but sometimes it happens and, this time, it happened in Italy, to be precise in Udine, where a group of five boys, piece by piece, he put together a band able to give back to' heavy metal its original splendor, drawing not only from the history of this vast genre of music, but above all by themselves, their experiences, their soul, to return something that sounded not only like seven notes mixed together so wise, but he was able to have a name, that of Destination 5-11.Chains of Mind is their first job, but already sounds like an album well-reasoned where everything from guitars, coming out with excellent solos such as the opener "New Battle", the beautiful rhythmic and powerful battery or bottom bodied and persistent - both big players in "Oasis" - the high-pitched voice and aggressive arching theme of the album, is a special place, a unique way of being that characterizes and defines it.The sounds are distinctly 80s and the album seems to be structured a bit 'as a real and profound research of his own musical path, however, he does not want to forget the origins of that same path that perhaps led to that fateful moment where Destination 5-11 have decided to make music.We just have to see where this path will lead ...
