Audio : 320 kbps + all scans
Size : 114 mb

Bio:

Liquid Steel is a heavy metal band formed in 2009 in Innsbruck, Austria. Founded as a cover band, soon the decision was taken to write original material. The love of traditional 80s metal cannot be denied and reminds of such influential bands as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, just to name a few.In spring 2012 the three-track demo "Scream" was released. The reactions have been phenomenal. “A record with much blood, sweat and tears and overt passion for 80s metal."Fire In The Sky", the band’s debut album, was recorded, mixed and mastered in spring 2014 by professional producer Patrick W. Engel (TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY) and was released in September 2014 on Scream Records.Liquid Steel is characterized by energetic live performances, which has helped to build a growing fan base. Some of the highlights were supporting the legendary NWOBHM band Diamond Head and sharing the stage with U.D.O. and Powerwolf.

Album:

The steel-hard quintet can’t deny their musical roots; their setlist features pure worship of the heroes of those days, when metalheads still wore skin-tight striped pants with a bullet belt—after all, frontman Fabio is an avowed IRON MAIDEN fan—and also pays homage to greats like JUDAS PRIEST, SAXON, or DIAMOND HEAD are unmistakable and are reimagined in their own contemporary take on the sound of an entire generation for the 21st century. After a heroic, rousing guitar intro, this is made clear right from the start with the title track “Fire In The Sky”—classic ’80s riffing paired with a singer who could have given the young Bruce Dickinson serious competition. From the alien invasion featured in the song, we jump straight to the only track carried over from the EP “Scream In The Night,” which, in its newly arranged setting, raises the bar significantly higher than on the EP—a massive sing-along anthem seemingly written for a steel-infused concert at the venerable Wembley Stadium, side by side with their legendary role models. With their debut album, LIQUID STEEL impressively demonstrate the level of professionalism the band has developed over the course of their career, evolving from a garage cover band into a creative force in their own right. The album offers the nostalgic, old-school long-haired fan everything they could wish for and innovatively brings a genre—at times nearly written off as dead—into the here and now. With “Fire In The Sky,” LIQUID STEEL emphatically stake their claim to the No. 1 underground release of 2014, and we can only hope that this musical treat will find an audience beyond just die-hard fans!

Album:

Now for round two. Austria's Liquid Steel returns with their sophomore album, Midnight Chaser. The band basically wears their influences on their sleeves, and denim jackets. Liquid Steel is unapologetically flying the flag of Eighties heavy metal, especially that of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. And, essentially, they get it right. Twin guitar harmony, blistering lead guitar solos, a charging rhythm section, and clean pitched vocals are the nuts and bolts of the Liquid Steel classic heavy metal sound. The only additional element is a good dose of speed metal. Songs like Fright Night, Kubla Khan, Starrider, and Air Aces move at a brisk pace. Alternatively Hiroshima, while fast paced in the first third of the song, drops into an acoustic breakdown in the middle before leading to a guitar solo. Midnight Chaser tries to fake you out with it's light acoustic intro, before the vocalist goes full screamo and the song charges on. Then there's the ballad, Autumn Leaves. The song turns on acoustic guitar and voice at the start, only to rise around the midpoint with sharp guitar lines and more swift speed metal. Overall, with Midnight Chaser Liquid Steel delivers entertaining and engaging "keep it true" classic heavy metal. Easily recommended.

Album:

It it were not for a recent email from the band, I probably would have missed out on Liquid Steel's latest and third long player, Mountains Of Madness. That would have been a tragedy. Thanks guys. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We last heard from Austria's Liquid Steel five years ago with 2016's Midnight Chaser, a very fine album of traditional heavy metal. That's a long time between albums. But apparently the quintet has been busy, including supporting appearances with Diamond Head, Skull Fist, UDO, and Powerwolf, among others. Now, with the same personnel in place, and inspired by the H.P. Lovecraft novella, Liquid Steel drops Mountains Of Madness, currently signed to Germany's Metalizer Records.Honestly, this album may be Liquid Steel's strongest effort since their inception. There's nothing I did not like about this album. Once more you Liquid Steel offers fans twin guitar driven melodic heavy metal ala the classic New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWoBHM). For many listeners that's enough information to sit up and take notice. But let's add to their formula the abundance of twin guitar harmony, amazing individual guitar lines and leads, rough and tumble rock groove from the rhythm section, and clean melodic vocals. Indeed, its a perfect storm for lovers of "keep it true" classic heavy metal. With Victim Of The Night, Traveller In Time, and especially On The Run, you'll hear fast and heavy metal with plenty speed and groove. On The Run may be the fast song here. Although the short and speedy metal of Nothing To Lose may give it a run for the money. With Heavy Metal Fire you'll hear the strength of the rhythm section as drums and bass start the song, and bass continues to be heard over the rumble of heavy metal power. But I think my favorite songs came in the middle of the album with Mountains Of Madness, Phoenix, and Alpine Warrior. All three songs start with acoustic guitar introductions before dropping into (generally) fast and heavy, but epic, metal with large guitar parts and vocal and lyrical drama. The latter comes within Alpine Warrior wherein its lengthy guitar-forward first third nearly suggests an instrumental, only to have spoken word narration dropped in at the midpoint. But all three songs abound with Liquid Steel's now trademark twin guitar metal muscle. All in all, if you're a fan of traditional, melodic, and guitar-forward heavy metal Liquid Steel and Mountains Of Madness is the real deal. You will not be disappointed.
