There's so many options out there, with countless bands playing countless genres – it's like a buffet with all sorts of flavors and dishes. We're here to make a statement, to be that prime cut steak, that everyone knows and loves. Electric Guitars have always played rock with bold gestures, big tunes and great ambition. Neither of these features ambitions none the least have become any the less on the band s third album 'Rock N Roll Radio'. The title is not quite plucked out of thin air: "AC/DC can sell 60,000 tickets in 12 minutes, Volbeat can sell out tickets in the Park Arena, Metallica's new album just went straight to number one on the album charts; rock music is doing really well in Denmark. Still, you have to search your radio over and over to find rock on commercial radio. We have timelessly speculated why this is, and therefore the title track is a tribute to those of us who long for rock tunes on the radio. This single is - incidentally - perfectly suited for radio" Søren Andersen adds. On 'Rock N Roll Radio' Mika Vandborg and Søren Andersen have the legendary company of Jacob and Jesper Binzer. Søren Andersen played bass for D.A.D. back in 2015, when Stig Pedersen was on leave with a broken arm. Friendships were forged and Søren learnt a lot about songwriting by being part of Denmark's most iconic rock band. This musical companionship has resulted in Jacob Binzer producing 'Rock N Roll Radio' and both Jacob and Jesper Binzer appear on the album's second single 'Headless Chicken'. The first single 'Swagman' is already released and is a great example of what to expect from Electric Guitars under the production of Jacob Binzer. Electric Guitars' music has never been known for being polished, nevertheless this time it has been cut to the bone. Ten hard-hitting songs, ten musical uppercuts, ten songs of sex, rock, ladies and what to do with the life that you have been given. Lots of guitar-madness, lots of attitude and no bulls#!t.

This is the fourth album from Electric Guitars, who have a cult following in Denmark for their lively guitar riff-centric rock and energy-filled live shows. The brainchild of Soren Andersen of the Glenn Hughes Band and Mika Vandborg who has worked with many huge artists including Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, this talented pair are well known as much sought after session musicians as well as live performers. Soren Andersen is also a world-class producer and engineer, owner of Medley Studios in Copenhagen and has been called the new Mutt Lange. In Electric Guitars, this dynamic duo turns their talents to their own project.The band is already well known in Denmark and Jesper and Jacob Binzer of D-A-D appeared on their 2017 "Rock N Roll Radio" album and several times with the band on stage. Frequently oversubscribed by work for other artists the pandemic has given Electric Guitars a chance to re-focus on songwriting and create the album to bring them to the attention of the whole world.Three singles are coming out. "Dopamine" has an energy that is a little like D-A-D, wild and slightly punky, but still very much rock and captures that irreplaceable high that rock music provides, "Hot Blooded Woman" channels Cheap Trick and relates a South American tour story that definitely got outta hand and "Nervous Breakdown", a song about everything we have been through in the pandemic is like a heavier version of Zander & Co, just adding screams!Like every other rock crazy musician or fan, the band has been storing up its power and energy 'like a bunch of wild mustangs that've been kept tied up for too long'. Songs like "Freewheeler", "Going Out" and "Cut Loose" capture that pent-up energy revealing a band who cannot wait to let themselves loose on an unsuspecting world. Mighty Music is proud to announce the release of “What Are We Waiting For”, the brand-new studio album from Danish rockers ELECTRIC GUITARS, due out on 30.10.2026. The band’s sixth studio album marks a bold new creative direction, with drummer Morten Hellborn taking over production duties and leading Electric Guitars into fresh sonic territory.“I’ve wanted to take Electric Guitars into the future for a long time, if that makes sense; to leave the usual clichés behind and approach the band as if it were a brand-new project, free of rules and dogmas”, Mortem declares. “Taking full responsibility for the album has been an incredible journey. Soren produces other artists for a living, Mika works with top producers every day, so I definitely had to stay on my toes. I simply rent for the sound and production that I wanted to hear, and the two guitarists fully embraced it. We’re incredibly proud of this album”, he concludes.Recorded at Medley Studios Copenhagen, “What Are We Waiting For” is the first Electric Guitars album produced without founding members Soren Andersen and Mika Vandborg behind the controls. The final mix was also handed over for the first time, with former Duné member Ole Bjørn shaping the album’s modern and forward-looking sound.“It was a real pleasure to let go of the responsibility for the production process and simply focus on being an artist this time”, Soren Andersen adds. “Instead of worrying about the technical side, I could concentrate on the songs, the performances, the expression and the energy. Morten encouraged us to introduce a lot more electronic elements, so I’ve been diving deep into synths and loops - something I’ve loved ever since growing up with Duran Duran and Depeche Mode”.Despite its contemporary production, the album features more guitars than ever before, while deliberately moving away from traditional blues-based and classic rock formulas. Every song was carefully evaluated, resulting in what the band considers its strongest collection of material to date.
