Five years from the release of Back to Life, Soul Seller come back with their second album Matter of Faith, an album containing many big news. The first and most important is the variation of the line-up, renewed for its 50%. The wind of change brought by the newcomers (Eric Concas, leading vocals, Italo Graziana, drums and Simone Morandotti, piano and keyboards) allowed the band to explore musical territories unimaginable before, creating a mixture of genres that partially traces 80s melodic rock of Back to Life but also deviates to classic and modern rock, hard rock and prog allusions. Melody is the cornerstone around which rotates the sound of Soul Seller, but in Matter of Faith it is sustained by a myriad of different sound solutions that lead to the creation of a very personal work which is in constant evolution. The second new aspect can be found in the lyrics which, together with music, experienced an introspective evolution, reflecting the problems that our generation has to face daily. From the media alienation to international conflicts, from the economic crisis to environmental issues. These lyrics found their ground among new blends of sounds, acquiring a new value if compared to those of the previous album. The only element of continuity with the past is the producer Alessandro Del Vecchio who, once more, thanks to his experience and his knowledge, took the best out of the band and led it to the sound the members had in their minds. A team work that allowed again to achieve a powerful and solid album with a clear sound.

Art Of Melody Music & Burning Minds Music Group are excited to announce details of "Fight Against Time", the new studio album from Italian melodic hard rockers, Soul Seller.The story of Soul Seller began in Turin in 1999, founded by brothers Dave and Mike Zublena. The band spent its first decade producing demos, self-releasing EPs, and performing live dates across northern Italy with the goal of finding its signature sound. In 2010, after several line-up changes, they signed with German label, Avenue Of Allies, for the release of their debut album, "Back To Life" (produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio). The album gained recognition in the melodic rock scene, and included the popular track "Keep on Moving” featuring Oliver Hartmann. The song was featured in the Classic Rock Magazine compilation.After additional tour dates and line-up changes, the band returned to the studio in 2015 to record their second chapter, this time with the support of Italian label Tanzan Music. The result was "Matter Of Faith", a work which saw the band exploring a more modern and refined sound. Following its release back in 2016, it received great feedback from fans and specialized press around the world.The band then supported major acts such as Europe and Harem Scarem in selected live dates across Italy. In 2019, new members, Alessandro Rimoldi, Stefania Sarre and Dale Sanders joined the band. With a renewed enthusiasm, Soul Seller shared the stage again with another major act, Bonfire, in 2021, before returning to the Tanzan Music studio to record their third album, "Fight Against Time", under the guidance of producer Mario Percudani.The new album sees the band continuing the path already taken with "Matter Of Faith", offering powerful melodic rock melodies, skilfully produced and arranged in a captivating up-to-date style.Fight Against Time" is scheduled for release on May 16, 2025, with artwork and graphics designed by the band's frontman, Eric Concas. The CD booklet features introductory liner notes by legendary designer, HUGH SYME - Syme Studio, creator of some of the most iconic album covers of all time (Rush's "2112", Bon Jovi's "New Jersey", Whitesnake's "Slip Of The Tongue" and Warrant's "Cherry Pie"), and former Ian Thomas Band keyboards player. The first single, "City Of Dragons", will be launched with an official video on March 6, 2025.

Alongside the new SOUL SELLER album released a few weeks ago and featured here at 0dayrox, the band’s new label Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group is reissuing the Italian’s long time out of print debut CD from 2011 “Back To Life” featuring a fresh remaster by Alessandro Del Vecchio, plus bonus material for fans old and new.Soul Seller’s sound is straight out of Eighties melodic rock blended with catchy hook-laden AOR and a slight hard rock edge in the same vein as Khymera, Shining Line and early Bon Jovi. They build their songs around distinctive sing-along choruses and melodic vocal parts, while the music has an anthemic approach featuring roaring toned guitar runs that wash over you, which are complimented by some excellent backline interactions.Michael Carrata’s stunning vocal presence delivers hook after hook, calling to mind a young Jon Bon Jovi. Alessandro Del Vecchio (Shining Line, Lionville, Eden’s Curse) was in charge for the crisp production, also contributing with the arrangements and vocal harmonies – and now remastering the whole thing.The album starts brilliantly with the track “Wings Of Freedom” that just grabs you immediately with its energy and excellent melodic hook. The chorus is catchy as Hell, featuring great harmonic lead and backing vocals.Next track “Change Your Heart Tonight” is a beautiful summertime AOR tune with a commercial sound and fantastic guitar solos from Dave Rox (Wheels of Fire) and Danilo Bar (White Skull), followed by the very European melodic midtempo semi-ballad “All I Can Promise” filled with nice keyboards and a truly fine chorus.A guest vocal duet appears courtesy of Oliver Hartmann on the song “Keep On Moving” and it leads to a more heartbeat pacer which steams with 80’s vibes all over.“Hope On The Horizon” is a short, neat piano intro that brings in one of the best tracks on the album: “Old Hero’s Prayer”. This is a great ‘in the air’ sweet melodic rock with a chorus that never wants to end. Very Bon Jovi-esque in the vocal styling and delivery of Michael Carrata, not to mention the song structure.The band really deliver some harder edged rock on the anthemic title track “Back To Life”, where Michael Carrata vocals are outstanding, reminding me here a little of Michael Luppi (Los Angeles).He shines again on the touching power ballad “Hell Of Tears”, where the band offers a sweeping arena sound full of melody.The strangely titled “A Message from Planet Venus” has a simple but really effective straight-forward melodic hard rock riff.“New Power Day” add some edge that scream 80’s hard rock mainstream, and follower a “Rock Still Stands” is even more harder, showing that Soul Seller has a real rocking fire inside their melodic heart.The interestingly titled “Beautiful Heretic’s Dream” closes the album in great form with a retro classy feel, combining a powerful riff, lots of keyboards and stunning vocals.Soul Seller has released a storming album that calls to mind those heady days of the 80’s.“Back To Life” rocks focused on the melodies, the hooks and the sing-along choruses, just how good Melodic Rock music should be made.The musicianship is truly great, and the solid songwriting surpasses the usual routine you hear form bands in genre. They add some classy AOR or a hard edge to some songs to make the whole thing more interesting.Alessandro Del Vecchio has done a great job producing, giving to the music a crisp and catchy (yet sometimes edgy) sound that suits the songs very well.A welcomed reissue, and very nice bonus tracks too.
