To put it into a nut shell: WolveSpirit plays rock. Good old fashioned and down to the bone, grinding rock. Loaded with heavy guitars, big drums, a bass that will let your pants flatter around your knees, and of course a swirling hammond organ,WolveSpirit most likely will take you on a trip back to the psychedelic 60s and the heavy rollin` 70s, if not into another dimension. But what tops the icing, are the raw, expressive and blues infused female vocals of the charismatic red haired singer reminding at times of a Janis Joplin or at others of a Stevie Nicks.WolveSpirit captures the groove, feeling and spirit of far gone rockin`and rollin` days and elevates them into the 21st century to create their own unique sound. Thus WolveSpirit brings back something, that at times quite seems to have been forgotten in the modern and digital age we live in: Rock n`Roll!

Social, lyrically, visually and acoustically: The Würzburg band with their American singer revives the hippie era again. Social, because the musicians live together as a collective, as just then did a lot of bands. Lyrically, because the texts consistently pervades this hippie-esque Mystic. Visually by the CD cover (of singer Debby Craft self created) and certainly by the clothes they wear paisley shirts and bell-bottoms are self-evident. And acoustically because Wolvespirit put her Hammond geschwängerten, almost psychedelic hard rock and the whole musical feel their audience in the early seventies back.Here and there, Debby Craft was (as well as Elin Larsson of the Blues Pills) called new Janis Joplin, which is quite unfair, because it arouses both young ladies expectations they can not meet. And certainly do not want to meet, they are completely independent and can refer to the right to their own vocal qualities that do not require comparison. Especially not with Janis.A comparison of the band Deep Purple or Uriah Heep is not heard, both legends attended both Jon Lord respectively Ken Hensley for an entirely different organ sound, and also applies here: The keyboards of Wolvespirit second to none, they are an integral part of a wonderful sound , But the reference to the time when these bands were active, is of course true. The band plays completely to the point, crisp and rich, with great guitar riffs and solos, swirling organ and hearty, driving bass / drums Group. In YouTube age can try for yourself the reader.Unlike many other performers who have the music of the 'late Sixties' and 'early Seventies' prescribed this Wolvespirit plate skin incorruptible trump card in the form of an excellent, clear sound image on the table. Here was no attempt artificially to bend slightly as if it was in fact incurred in that period. And the warm sound of old records also the then inadequate sound equipment is yet due. You hear only times the latest Remasterausgabe of Physical Graffiti how Jimmy Page is trying to circumvent the limitations of the master tapes. With a bit, but still tolerable success. Bravo also!This is also a compliment to the highly respected in the rock genre producer Michael Wagener, who created a perfect mix for the purposes of the desired sound from the musicians with its many small to be discovered tones.
