After a break of 12 years inbetween their brand new album "Mission Rock" sees the light of day. Traditional 80s flavored hard rock is still the name of their game, somewhere between Pretty Maids, Def Leppard, Gotthard, TNT and a good dose of Bonfire.When UNIVERSE started out in 1985 it was a great time for their European Melodic Hard Rock. The band had evolved from the slightly heavier act Axe Victims. Their debut album "Bad Child" got released in 1992, followed by the EP "Waiting For.." in 1993 and their latest album "Is There Something" in 2003. As you can easily figure out Universe never flooded the market with their releases and with a break of 12 years inbetween their brand new album "Mission Rock" sees the light of day. Traditional 80s flavored hard rock is still the name of their game, somewhere between Pretty Maids, Def Leppard, Gotthard, TNT and a good dose of Bonfire. Timeless German hard rock stuff without being retro.
