No Bros is an Austrian hard rock band from Innsbruck at the beginning of the 1980s celebrated great success with titles like Heavy Metal Party, Be My Friend and Hey You.In 1974, Klaus Schubert and Michael Außerhofer founded in Tyrol, the band target, which was transformed into the late 1970s, with the participation of Nicholas Opperer, Freddy Gigele and Franz Heumader to No Bros. gave as part of a live appearance in Pinkafeld it 1979, a fateful encounter with the ORF-radio host Gotthard Rieger. He was to establish friend and manager of the band with the aim of the local Hard Rock in Austria.Yet 1979 was performed first studio recording in the ORF regional studios Tirol.By connecting to the influential ORF man Gotthard Rieger No Bros had of course far more development opportunities than other Austrian hard rock bands such as Blind petition. The follow-up single Hey you (1983) already went more or less.After extensive touring with bands like Motörhead and Uriah Heep, there were arguments in the band and was replaced by Harry Francis Heumader Gschösser.With this cast album Our Own Way was recorded. It is striking that singer Freddy Gigele very clearly excelled here for the first time as a songwriter. The single release Friends will keep together (Ausserhofer) - probably intended as a (male) drinking song - was to failure.Shortly after the release of the album Our Own Way escalated the dispute between Freddy Gigele and Klaus Schubert, which is why the project No Bros broke for now: It seemed problematic, especially the fact that managers Gotthard Rieger (ORF) distanced.Freddy and Michael Gigele Außerhofer started solo projects, Harry Gschösser went to the United States to join the band Racer X.The remaining members Klaus Schubert and Nik Opperer continued the band with studio musicians and with the Scottish singer Joe Francis Hamilton in 1986 yet the album Cavalry of Evil added.After reconciliation with Gotthard Rieger, the band has once again count on the support of the ORF. The advertised Single Thus, there was still hard to see to total failure.After a final concert with the support of the former U8 frontman Lem Enzinger things quieted down No Bros.In the years after the dissolution of the individual members played in other bands. So was about Franz Heumader with the group Poor Boys go, while Klaus Schubert, Nik Opperer and Lem Enzinger appeared together as Schubert.In 2005, the former founding members decided to hold a reunion concert. Only Freddy Gigele was not present and was replaced by Lem Enzinger. More performances at various open-air concerts and festivals led to the decision again a new album. In July 2006 Hungry For The Good Times was published. In the autumn of the same year yet The Party So Far I (Limited Best Of Fan Edition) was filed. Remixes, originals and numbers selected from the various side-projects of the musicians complete this CD. Typically Heavy Metal Party style a little Austria tour was completed in 2007. In spring 2008, is a founding member Nick P. Opperer professional reasons his resignation. As the successor Andi Brunner is presented. Andi Brunner is no stranger to the music scene and is considered an excellent virtuoso on the keyboard. After a few live acts with the new line follows an artistic break. Mastermind Klaus Schubert (Klaus Schubert Blues Bunnies) and Franz Heumader (Sugar Daddy Band) in 2009 to focus on your side projects. In April 2010, the CD The Party So Far II (Rare Cuts Fan Edit) is published.

Hard Rock from Austria, 2015 Re-Release, with 4 Bonustracks. This work is will also be available on CD and as a download for the first time ever worldwide. With the first song the band is already showing that in 1982 the center of the European hard rock world was clearly in Austria. The style of NO BROS lies between RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE – and they played in the same league.The the six-minute title track shows a force that immediately strikes into the brain of every listener and this energy permeates the entire album. A Special reference shall also made to the songs “Hey You” and the mega-single “Be My Friend”. Thanks to radio and TV presence of the band the ballad climbed on top in the Austro-charts. Inspired by the re-release Klaus Schubert and Freddy Gigele found together again in 2014 for new studio recordings. The result: 3 brand new tracks that will be published on this re-release for the first time worldwide. “Find Myself” can certainly be seen as a tribute to “Be My Friend” and “A Night In Touch City” and “Back Again” are classic NO BROS hammers! (KLAUS SCHUBERT knows only one God named RITCHIE BLACKMORE and that’s a really good thing !!) Finally, there’s also a SCHUBERT IN ROCK version of the title track with Marc Storace of Krokus…
