Halestorm appeared on the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival,, and in October 2010 the band traveled to Japan to participate in the Loud Park Festival.Halestorm also appeared on the 2010 Taste of Chaos tour.

Album:

Halestorm are currently considered by many to be the golden children of modern rock bands, producing hooking riffs, soaring solos and choruses that cling to your mind for weeks on end. If their live show is the backbone to all that is Halestorm, then they, and their producer Nick Raskulinecz have gone and captured that magic and committed it to tape, giving rise to ‘Vicious’, their latest album. One that will, despite some lows, see many a fan pleased for some time to come.As opening track “Black Vultures” kicks off, it is evident that there has been a significant cog turn within the Halestorm camp. Displaying a new fluidity in playing, and a fresh savagery in singer Lzzy Hale’s vocals, both make for a strong handshake on this record. The momentum is further capitalised with “Buzz,” a perilous number that envelops itself in gritty rock guitars and lyrics, once again, delivered with impeccable raw angst, proving to be yet another triumph for Lzzy Hale.Throughout, ’Vicious’ rides waves over peaks and valleys, delivering some towering highs as well as some unexpected lows. “White Dress” flawlessly achieves one of these peaking highs, with the band reaching their strongest form as guitarist Joe Hottinger and drummer Arejay Hale coming to the forefront with a balls to the wall, no prisoners anthem. The antithesis of this, the highly questionable “Do Not Disturb” recites a warts and all love story from the road by way of a travelling artist, but falls inert somewhere between danger and charm. Unfortunately, it offers little outside of a double take moment loosely hinged on singer Hale’s curiosity as to what a particular accent sounds like climaxing. Fortunately, we are spared the details, and the valleys dip no lower than this. While Halestorm have shown they can deliver the heavier, edgier goods, they also excel in stripping it back to bare bones and laying it all on the line with “Heart Of Novocaine.” An unconventional ballad, untainted by the common saturation that comes with over production often applied to a song like this, this predominantly acoustic piece, complimented by a tasteful bass solo provided by Josh Smith, is destined to break hearts while cementing itself in the bands “Best Of” material. Not unlike the album closer “The Silence” which, although born of the same recycled formula, contains performances that transcend the needless repetition, even if it doesn’t quite reach the same timeless quality of its predecessor.Love ‘em or hate ‘em, this Pennsylvanian quartet are one of the few outfits keeping good ol’ Rock N’ Roll pulsating, and, in some respects, even interesting. What ‘Vicious’ offers, among some curious decisions, is some stellar performances with no two parts sounding the same. An invaluable rarity in an era of Pro-Tools cut and paste. Part venust, part venom, all vicious, Halestorm continue to play a valuable part in keeping the rock movement alive and well. If, like so many, Halestorm echo the past, they do so with candour, playing to its strengths as opposed to trying to relive, or retell it.

Album:

Lzzy Hale: "We started writing for this album about 3 months B.C. (Before Covid). After lockdown hit, the songs we were writing seemed unimportant now that we were facing an uncertain future. During this time, I fell into dark place and something of an identity crisis. After all, who am I without the touring, live shows and this intangible magic that is my existence, my purpose? This new album is the story of how I carved myself out of that darkness. It is a journey of navigating my mental health, debauchery, survival, redemption, rediscovery of my power, and somehow still having faith in humanity. I’m so grateful for this amazing community that gathers under the power of music. I know that so many of you will see yourselves in these songs, and be reminded that none of us are alone. So, burn every fear, every doubt like a funeral fire. Scream every anthem and follow your reckless desires. Take back the crown that hangs at the gate, ready your march ... steady your aim, for the heart is a soldier that never loses its way. Raise Your Horns."

Album:

Grammy-winning hard rock band HALESTORM has announced a deluxe edition of their last album. Sporting a silver-plated new artwork, “Back From The Dead: Deluxe Edition” will include seven previously unreleased B-sides, including “Mine”, a 1980s-inspired rocker, one of the best songs from the band. “Back From The Dead: Deluxe Edition” is available December 9 digitally, on CD, and cassette tape, marking the first time that the album has been offered in those physical formats. Most of these unreleased songs are in the spirit of taking chances and were some of the first the band wrote after getting together post-lockdown.“Back From The Dead: Deluxe Edition” is livid. There are raw, tortured sentiments with furious chops and beats to match. It’s shiny (even with the live edge, Halestorm records still come with a decent helping of gloss) but brutal. It’s very loud. You couldn’t call it ‘easy listening’, although it avoids the morosely confessional vibe of some Covid-era releases. And crucially, because this is Halestorm we’re talking about, it’s all hinged on songs: proper sing-your-larynx-to-shreds songs. The titular opening track sets the tone with rivers of riffy hellfire, unleashing Lzzy Hale like something from Satan’s lair. It’s as if Ronnie James Dio and Maria Brink had a baby and set it on fire… or something. It’s the most squarely ‘metaaal’ they’ve ever sounded on record, and for all Lzzy’s deeply personal performances – and there are a lot of them on this record – it’s no one-woman show. There’s more of everything, from everyone. More screams. More extremes. More killer solos from Joe Hottinger. More deft, thunderous assaults from Arejay Hale (just Lzzy’s kid brother dicking around with giant drumsticks? Not so much), with bassist Josh Smith anchoring the whole affair like a boss.Lyrically it pulls no punches. You’ll find barbed shots at industry misogyny in Bombshell (‘Be a good girl, play along/wear your short skirt, sing your song’), dark sarcasm in Brightside (‘I’ll keep looking on the bright side of life/’cos it only gets darker’) and uncaged mental anguish in Psycho Crazy (‘If you want crazy, I’ll give you psycho’).At times it borders on relentless, but in a way that’s the point; this is a powerful set of songs that aren’t afraid to get real. And, of course, there are slivers of light. Terrible Things is bathed in glowy strings. Closer Raise Your Horns is all piano and voice: a love letter to the world that Lzzy and Arejay have inhabited since they were kids. And single The Steeple is a rousing, metalhead call-to-arms that fans will adore. It’s the sort of outcast community statement that Halestorm are masters of, with Lzzy in the centre like a benevolent hard rock cult leader – only, erm, not corrupt or scary. If you want beer-drinking music, ”Back From The Dead” is not it. But if it’s a hard-hitting yet catchy dose of catharsis you seek – an intense, ultimately restorative tonic after such a strange couple of years – turn it up and dive straight in.

Arejay Hale – drums, backing vocals
Joe Hottinger – guitar, backing vocals
Josh Smith – bass, keyboards, piano, backing vocals

Album:

Our album Everest is a story of our journey as a band, full of beautiful endings and new beginnings. We weave a tangled web of melancholy, frustration, anger, and the vast purgatory of love and love lost. It is a rollercoaster of epic musical detours, great songwriting and completely unhinged twists and turns. EVEREST is an auditory representation of the 4 pillars of Halestorm. Let us introduce ourselves and invite you into our world…if you dare.
