Swedish hard rock band, Cobra Cult, have announced the release of their sophomore album “Second Gear” on March 5th, 2021, via GMR Music.The fact that Swedes like to front Hårdrock has not only been known since TROTOAR. COBRA CULT shift higher in “Second Gear” than in the good second gear - here there is a lot of spitting and rocking that it is a real pleasure. The opener “Sell your soul” begins with a pure, groovy drum beat, which is allowed to introduce the album on its own - and already dictates the tempo, the naturalness and the groove of the Stockholm troupe. “Geile Mucke” is the first spontaneous reaction.In fact, “Second Gear” is just great music. COBRA CULT operate somewhere between MÄRVEL, TROTOAR, HELLACOPTERS and BLACK TRIP. When Johanna unpacks her alto voice and evokes the life of a rocker, it sounds authentic and reminds one of a more straightforward version of LUCIFER. COBRA CULT rock fresh and carefree, happy guitar leads à la MÄRVEL not only refine the track “Dust on my boots”.
