With multiple sold out shows during their Spring and Fall headlining tours, the band has managed to perform close to 200 shows over the past two years in Denmark alone, bringing them to anywhere from smaller venues, to some of the nations biggest festivals – along with shows in Germany, France, and even Los Angeles.Electric Guitars have surely made a name for themselves in Denmark, and now with the release of their second album in the U.S., Japan and throughout Europe, they'll be sure to let themselves be heard throughout the world.But the world isn't exactly a new frontier for the two guitar nerds.Mika Vandborg has throughout recent years been working closely together with worldwide renown pedal manufactures TC Electronic and T-Rex Effects, while touring with the highly acclaimed Danish rock band, Love Shop.Soren Andersen is well known throughout the world of guitar nerds – having toured extensively worldwide with artists such as Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza and Mike Tramp, while being the face of TC Electronic's guitar department, many of people will recognize Soren's face, and associate it with quality and rock & roll.Which is exactly what the Danish rockers represent – good ol' fashioned, gritty, guitar-filled rock & roll. ”It's what people want”, Vandborg says, ”Heck, it's what we want! There's so many options out there, with countless bands playing countless genres – it's like a buffet with all sorts of flavors and dishes. We're here to make a statement, to be that prime cut steak, that everyone knows and loves. Because there's no denying it – everybody love's a good steak, and there's plenty of Electric Guitars to garound!”.This goes to show in the music video for the band's single ”The Thinner the Eyebrow the Crazier the Woman” - a perfect example of what this band brings to the table; great songwriting, a tight rhythm section, huge sounding choruses, heavy breakdowns, and last but not least – plenty of guitar!String Fever will be out on November 26th on Target Records.

Mighty Music is proud to announce the release of “What Are We Waiting For”, the brand-new studio album from Danish rockers ELECTRIC GUITARS, due out on 30.10.2026. The band’s sixth studio album marks a bold new creative direction, with drummer Morten Hellborn taking over production duties and leading Electric Guitars into fresh sonic territory.“I’ve wanted to take Electric Guitars into the future for a long time, if that makes sense; to leave the usual clichés behind and approach the band as if it were a brand-new project, free of rules and dogmas”, Mortem declares. “Taking full responsibility for the album has been an incredible journey. Soren produces other artists for a living, Mika works with top producers every day, so I definitely had to stay on my toes. I simply rent for the sound and production that I wanted to hear, and the two guitarists fully embraced it. We’re incredibly proud of this album”, he concludes.Recorded at Medley Studios Copenhagen, “What Are We Waiting For” is the first Electric Guitars album produced without founding members Soren Andersen and Mika Vandborg behind the controls. The final mix was also handed over for the first time, with former Duné member Ole Bjørn shaping the album’s modern and forward-looking sound.“It was a real pleasure to let go of the responsibility for the production process and simply focus on being an artist this time”, Soren Andersen adds. “Instead of worrying about the technical side, I could concentrate on the songs, the performances, the expression and the energy. Morten encouraged us to introduce a lot more electronic elements, so I’ve been diving deep into synths and loops - something I’ve loved ever since growing up with Duran Duran and Depeche Mode”.Despite its contemporary production, the album features more guitars than ever before, while deliberately moving away from traditional blues-based and classic rock formulas. Every song was carefully evaluated, resulting in what the band considers its strongest collection of material to date.
