Rockband from Jessheim, Norway founded in 1981.Band with female vocals Tove Teigberget...hes was a lady with a powerful, high-pitched voice...not unlike Ann Wilson from the American band Heart (who were popular at the time). And a look that was well suited as an eye-catcher on disc covers and on stage. Like TNT, MissLead played heavy rock. And as early as 1983, they had already made a name for themselves on TV, when they appeared on the youth programme Flimra, on NRK.MISSLEAD went to LA the first time in 1987, for promotion and concerts.Our manager at the time made this happen, he knew people there, and we played clubs like Madam Wongs, Country Club and Whiskey A go go.Upon the release of “Gentle Persuasion” in 1989, the Norwegian band MissLead had a long history that belied its sole official album. Formed in Jessheim near Oslo in 1981, the band would over the next few years go through some line-up changes in the process of refining their own classic hard rock sound.In 1988, Tove became the singer of then ex-TNT drummer Diesel Dahl’s new band, Tindrum, recording and touring the album “Drums of War”, a nationwide smash at the time. The following year she was back with MissLead, and the band recorded and released “Gentle Persuasion” on LP, CD and cassette in the fall of 1989, preceded by the vinyl single “Heartbeat”.MissLead soldiered on, and With the following slight adjustments in both line-up and musical direction.Around 1993 the members of MISSLEAD decided to go our separate ways.Tove (ex-MISSLEAD/TINDRUM) and her fellows have started a new band called CHASING EMBLA, they released RESURRECTION album.
