Year : 1989-1990 (FnA Records Edition 2024)
Style : Melodic Hard Rock , AOR
Country : United States
Audio : 320 kbps + scans
Size : 178 mb

Bio:

Quade made the same trek through the indie underground as have many of their counterparts. However, Quade took it a step or two even further with songs in movies, a track for a Broadway play in Paris, writing music for a childrens TV program “Photon”, a video played on MTV (as an indie band), and numerous accolades through local music organizations, cable TV, and college and nationwide radio.Quite simply put, Quade was a solid AOR/Melodic Rock band from the D.C. Metropolitan area (Waldorf, Maryland). Their brand of AOR struck favor in the hearts of listeners on two of the most popular rock stations around: Baltimore’s “98 Rock” and Washington D.C.’s number one rock station “DC 101”. They played the club circuit throughout the DC metropolitan area and all up and down the east coast opening for bands like Kix and Tora Tora. With extensive studio time, Quade was able to record two memorable AOR classics, Rock In Motion and Heaven’s Break. Quade’s first album, Rock In Motion was released in 1989 to a resounding audience comprised of college students and rock enthusiasts. Its radio-friendly sound led to several cuts being used in the movie Straight From The Heart. Quade exemplified the theme of commercial rock.In 1990, after touring the west coast, Quade went back into the studio to record music for what would be their second album, Heaven’s Break. It picked up where the first album left off; gaining them nominations for the W.A.M.A.’s. Heaven’s Break has become a respectable collectible in the indie market garnering prices of over $100 on many seller sites…if you could even find it online.FnA Records proudly releases both albums on one compact disc entitled Anthology. Anthology is stuffed with 19 tracks timing in at nearly 80 minutes. Recorded in 1989 and 1990 respectively, the sound is top notch from a band that spent so much time in quality studios recording for TV, movies, and plays.

Album:

Founded in the mid-Eighties by singer / songwriter Gene Quade, five-piece QUADE made the same trek through the indie U.S. underground as have many of their counterparts. However, Quade took it a step or two even further with songs in movies, a track for a Broadway play in Paris, writing music for TV program “Photon”, a video played on MTV (as an indie band), and numerous accolades through local music organizations, cable TV, and college and nationwide radio.Quite simply put, Quade was a solid AOR / Melodic Rock band from the D.C. Metropolitan area. Their brand of AOR struck favor in the hearts of listeners on two of the most popular rock stations around: Baltimore’s “98 Rock” and Washington D.C.’s number 1 rock station “DC 101”. They played the club circuit throughout the DC metropolitan area and all up and down the East coast opening for bands like Kix and Tora Tora. With extensive studio time, Quade was able to record two memorable indie AOR cult classic albums, ‘Rock In Motion’ and ‘Heaven’s Break’. Quade’s first album, Rock In Motion, was plenty of melodic rocking guitars with fine melodies and keyboard fills. Its radio-friendly sound led to several cuts being used in the movie Straight From The Heart. Quade exemplified the theme of commercial melodic rock.In 1990, after touring the West coast, Quade went back into the studio to record music for what would be their second album, ‘Heaven’s Break’. It picked up where the first album left off; gaining them nominations for the W.A.M.A.’s. ‘Heaven’s Break’ has become a respectable collectible in the indie market garnering prices of over $100 on many seller sites… if you could even find it.Now FnA Records releases both albums on one compact disc entitled ”The Anthology“, for the first time remastered and officially released on CD. The remastering job really did miracles updating the sound with a fresh, vibrant sound.Highly Recommended ’80s classic Melodic Rock / AOR stuff.
