SUPER VINTAGE is a classic rock band from Kavala city, Greece.Formed in February 2012 under the name HUSH 'n RUSH THEY started as a cover band playing songs of classic rock bands from the 70 's.After many live performances in the local area they started recording their own songs in May 2013.Stavros Papadopoulos,lead singer,guitarist,songwriter and producer had already written and published many Classic rock/Hard rock songs recorded at his FREEROCK RECORDING STUDIO Panagiotis Zabourlis on the guitar,Lazaros Simitsis on the drums-percussion and Panos Karathanasis on the bass,experienced musicians who already had played with many greek bands,boosted songwriting with their high class playing so there were 3 disc releases until September 2014 in BANDCAMP:KICK OVER THE TRACES-July 2013 DOGS 'N VULTURES-June 2014 TALES NEVER TOLD(Acoustic)-September 2014 In September 2014 George Filopelou joined the band playing the bass and they recorded and RELEASED WELCOME TO THE SLUM in November 2014.In June 2015 the band signed a contract with GROOVEYARD RECORDS NY USA changed their name TO SUPER VINTAGE and their new albums are gonna be released by the company in the mission of keeping CLASSIC ROCK ALIVE!SUPER VINTAGE is considered one of the most productive-high classclassic rock bands ever formed in their country.They have been described from many European rock WEB-ZINES as the greek revival of bad-ass old school Classic rock/Hard rock and IN 2013 they have been noticed by CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE UK which included a song from their first album in April's 2014 issue CD compilation mentioning:''A young,unknown band from Greece,they effortlessly channel classic hard rock heroes of the 70's.''

And as Stavros has a perfect voice for this genre with no real accent to be detected, if you would have said to me that these guys come from Florida instead of Kavala in Greece I most likely would have believed you.“Guardians Of Tradition” has at times a melancholic typical southern rock character with lots of ballsy guitars and a rhythm section that purely plays to serve the guitar players.Add to that that Stavros has managed to pen down a bunch of strong songs as well and you are listening to a guitar dominated quite pure and entertaining hard / southern rock album that we do not get to hear that often these days.Songs like ‘Rolling Thunder’, ‘Rise And Fall’, ‘Hero’, ‘Pieces Of My Broken Heart’, the title track, are all quite traditional and certainly not too complicated to follow, but they are played from the heart and soul of a man that has become one of the most reliale and active rock merchants that Europe has to offer.If you cherish classic rock / hard / southern rock, ”Guardians Of Tradition” is at the moment one of the best records in that genre.Super Vintage’s “Guardians Of Tradition” is an outstanding guitar-rock musical document that is highly recommended to fans of all classic rock from the Seventies & Eighties based on blues and timeless melodies.
