Only in 2020, the trio Season Of Dreams debuted quite neatly with "My Shelter" now they are back with "Heroes"! Unfortunately, one member on guitar, John Nyberg, has left. SOD now only consists of singer / keyboarder Johannes Nyberg and guitarist / bassist Jean-Michael Volz. To compensate for this, the Swedish-French duo has a lot of guests on board, not only as singers: Jimmy Hedlund (Falconer), Nils Courbaron (Sirenia/T.A.N.K.), Olivier Lapauze (Heavenly), Mikael Dahl (Crystal Eyes), Emil Norberg (Persuader/Savage Circus, Martin Floberg (Enbound) and Kristoffer Göbel (Six Foot Six/Ex-Falconer). Maybe the musicians should have put the money into a better production? To put it nicely, the production is rather brittle and the audibly programmed drumming is unfortunately too generic. Of course, not everyone has the money for an expensive production, but this sound here is not conducive to the great and good competition, because the sometimes quite pathos-laden or quite dramatic songs and the strong vocals always know how to please! Especially fans of early Scandinavian power metal acts with lots of keys and bombast are in the right place! With a better sound this would be a real hit! As it is, the whole thing seems quite raw and like a demo. That's what appeals to some people..
